Post Shopping!

I am ashamed of myself, but so happy at the same time! On my lunch hour, I just ran over to Ann Taylor and blew $250!! I love shopping so much and I love the new beautiful clothes I got, but how come the clothes I have are NEVER enough?!? How come something so fun has to be soooo expensive? I wish I could do it every day! anyway, any other shopaholics out there? Fave stores? I love Ann Taylor for classy work wear and also Banana Republic. Macy's is great because you can find great stuff on sale just about every other week. I like their handbags, fun party jewelry and some party blouses. GAP is my place for tees, jeans and khakis, even though i have still not found the perfect pair of khakis. And I get all my suits at Nordstrom's, because they have free tailoring!

Hehe, I love to shop too! Although, I try to shop the sale racks at my favorite places because I just feel so guilty when I buy something really expensive. I'm great at finding awesome clothes for $20 or less. I've found 2 skirts at Old Navy for $1.99 each! But that doesn't mean I don't have a taste for expensive things. I love Gap for casual wear, as well as American Eagle and Abercrombie and Fitch. I love Ann Taylor for dressier stuff (their clothes are so amazingly well made). My biggest vice is handbags. I love them. Right now I'm totally into Kate Spade. I just love her stuff - its all so cute and so versatile. I also would never ever part with my Coach bag.

I am a shoe addict! Tennis shoes, sandals, flip flops, clogs, heels, boots, and anything in between. My friends call me "Imelda."

I'm not a big "brand" girl. I'm all about style. I usually buy big at Old Navy - simply because there is a variety and everything is pretty cheap. I'm still a college bum, so I don't need much other than jeans and t-shirts and a few "going out" outfits. But I do like Gap, Abercrombie, and American Eagle a lot.

I don't have favorite stores persay...however I am a total shopping addict. I'm gonna never live this down, but yesterday my BEST friend and I went shopping together looking for khakis for Spring Break. I bought THREE pairs because I couldn't decide which I liked best. I will be returning one pair, but isn't that just REDICULOUS?!?!
I have major problems with jewelry (I work in a jewelry store). Luckily my discount is good, but it's too tempting!
Other things I just can't say no to include:
SHOES!
ANYTHING from Victoria's Secret
Mary Kay
and
Music!
Urg, I wonder if boys have it this bad? :P

us guys usually have the opposite problem - when i go shopping i have to take some girls with me, b/c i'm such a tool when it comes to buying clothes. About the only thing i can buy on my own with certainty are hats or greek clothes; everything else, gotta have that second opinion (or first . . . just not from me!). it's a damn good thing a lot of my female friends like to shop - otherwise i'd probably be wearing that same yaga t-shirt and zu-baz from 1989 . . . or maybe worse . . . that's about the area where i can be totally helpless, but eh whatever.

i too am a shopping addict !!! I dont really ever buy from Ann Taylor like my mom, but i dont really have a need for it. I am still in college, so usually i wear casual clothes. The days i have to go to work ill wear something a little more dressier, and thats always fun. Stores i love are Gap, Abercrombie, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, Jcrew, Claire's, Afterthoughts, and Journeys!! I also like to shop in Foley's and Dillards.

Sometimes i feel really guilty about how much money i have spent, but the way i figure it is that i dont do it every week- so its okay!

Hootie, i always have a hard time deciding what i want when i go shopping as well! Sometimes ill do the same thing you do and buy them both or in your case all three. I keep the tags on, and when i finally decide which one i want, ill return the other.

Sometimes after buying some clothes, a couple of days later ill decide i really dont like them anymore so i will return them. That is why i always keep the tags on them and save the receipts. Once i wear the new clothes then i know they are keepers!

OK. Wanna hear shopping addict? My boyfriend and I are taking a trip to Niagara Falls this weekend, and it's not cheap, so I'm trying to save up and not spend the hoards of money I am prone to spend on clothes. Yesterday, my best friend and I go to work out at my school's gym. I needed to get some socks because I forgot mine at home. Somehow I managed to spend over fifty dollars on clothes. Now, okay, that doesn't sound like a lot. Believe me, I spend more than that on lunch sometimes. But need I point out that A) I was trying avoid spending anymoney needlessly so that I can spend lots when I'm away and B) I was at the GYM. Working out cost me 50 bux. That's just sad...Hadda share.
As for fave stores, we don't have Abercrombie and Fitch up here so I always make a killing when I go down into the States. There's a store here called Jacob that sells awsome clothes, and I'm there pretty much every day (there's one down stairs from where I work). Other than that, any store is fair game where my wallet is concerned

Leslie

Fave store: Kaufmann's (local version of the May company). My friend and I were there over the weekend and she got a wool blazer, blouse and pair of pants, for under $50 combined!! I think it goes without saying that the place has kick-ass sales.

I LOVE vintage stores...even though most of the clothes are made for mini-humans (were people really that much tinier in the 1950's?).

But my favorite store and the one that I can't visit too often for fear of bankcrupcy, has to be Sephora!!

Cool

I got lots of shopping money for my birthday, so I hit the mall this weekend. I got two great tops at Ann Taylor for $15 total. They were having an amazing sale. I was doing great until I went to Gap and spent $48 on their boot cut jeans. I sometimes feel guilty for spending so much on jeans, but I justify it by saying that Gap jeans are the only ones that fit me well and that I'll wear their jeans until they get holes. And then I'll still wear them.

Any ideas of what's hot for summer? I still have lots of shopping to do!

I am in the same boat as KSig RC and find myself to be fashion challenged, as well as style deprived. Luckily when I have extra cash I will invite a lady friend out (often on a pointed suggestion and an enthusiastic offer to help) to pick out clothing.

Men's clothes are a lot more expensive than women's it seems. Picking up several items for under 20 dollars is out of my experience.

I will say that some women I have met have an infinite capacity to shop. A group of us went to the mall one time and I swear the girls went through every store once first browsing, then a second pass trying things on, and then a final visit to actually buy.

It took an entire day! To pick up a handful of items! I was exhausted and had a smile pasted to my face by the second hour.

I can visit several stores, get fitted for a suit, and buy several outfits as well as shoes, and have lunch in about an hour.

Yeah I am totally with KSig RC on this one. Right in the same boat. Also agree with James, especially his 2nd-4th paragraphs.

I'm definitely a shop-a-holic. My sisters would just laugh at me when I would come home from the mall. At school I'd hit up 1 of the 4 area's malls in 4 consecutive weekends. I also love to browse online... I'd buy but I'm petite so it's hard to buy something without trying it on. I really wish Victoria's Secret had a clothing store because I love their clothes. But I once bought a tube top with the matching pants, both XS and both too big. I love to shop at--
Arden B.-- love their trendy shirts and dresses
Bebe-- again love their trendy shirts
Rampage-- love everything, especially their jeans
Windsor-- love their dresses
Hollister-- I'm obsessed with anything that says California on it since I want to live there
Urban Outfitters-- love their printed tees-- I'm a sucker for different little tees

Those are my go to stores... but I'll shop anywhere... and I enjoy helping my guy friends shop for clothes!

I've never shopped in Ann Taylor. Is it good for petite suits? I still want something that fits my frame without looking too mature. I was going to go in last week when I was looking for a suit but I bypassed it.

33girl, I totally get the sephora thing. They have a new rewards card (it's similar to the borders reward card) where you get a free gift every $100 you spend... totally dangerous. I went in there intending to just get a lipstick (to go with the new mascara I'd jsut bought from chanel) and ended up with the free gift. it was the first time I'd ever used the card. It's so bad, and I'm suppossed to be saving money, too, as I don't want to work first semester.
