Pet Peeves

This is just a thread to post what are some of your pet peeves. I can't remember all of mine but these are some that definitely stick out in my mind.

1. Strollers are the tools of the devil. No matter where I go, there is always a lady with a damn stroller blocking the path or they are running you over with the stroller and never notice you're in front of them.

2. Women who are oblivious to their kids screams. In the mall (or anywhere for that matter) these kids are crying, screaming, and throwing tantrums and their moms are either ignoring them while they torture everyone else or the mom is pretending they are not her kids.

3. Unkempt feet. This one just really gets to me. I'm not saying a person has to have a fancy pedicure HOWEVER, if you're going to wear open toed shoes or sandals, at least have your feet clean.

4. Too tight clothes on anyone. Sometimes, it's better to leave something to the imagination. There is nothing ickier than seeing someone wearing an outfit or article of clothing that was best left at home or better yet, never bought at all.

I'm sure I have more but these are the ones I could think of right now.

People who write checks when there are people behind them in lines. It takes forever and check cards are free most of the time! Why write a check ever!?

I also can't stand people reading over my shoulder.

People who don't shut off their cell phones during movies.

Teenage girls who go to movies & proceed to giggle during a love scene.

People who crack their knuckles in restaurants.

People that blow their nose in restaurants. Go to the bathroom please!!!

People who take up all the dryers in the laundromat. Their stuff is dry & just sitting there but they will not take it out until they have finished folding their current pile making the rest of us wait for that dryer.

Anyone who thinks that saying something about someones grammar usage on the internet is funny when it's not. Lemme break it down for "yall."

I don't have to type in "you" for "u" to understand what I'm saying.

I don't have to type in "trying" when I'm tryna tell you something.

I don't have to type in "r" when you "are" trying to clown my slang.

I don't have to type in "c" when you can "see" clearly that it is the internet and I can use slang if I please.

I don't have to type in "probably" when I can "prolly" predict that you'll post some crappy clown about my slang.

I don't have to type in "with" when I know that you can't get "wit" the slang I use.

I don't have to type in "you" just to let "ya" know "ya heard!"

I don't have to type in "what's up" to tell you "sup."

I don't have to type in "the" to tell you what's "da" deal.

So like my boy Cappadonna says in his song....

"My slang is editorial, explicit material, briefcase flow, live in stereo show"

People who don't silence their phones prior to class or a movie.

People who drive way below the speed limit on the interstate, but speed up when you try to pass them.

People with no respect for other cultures, especially when they are overseas.

People who are always late, unorganized, unmotivated, etc.

People who drive SUVs just because they 'look cool' or want to show off their stuff and when they get a flat tire or stuck in the mud...they don't have a clue what to do. I mean COME ON, a Jeep is designed to hit the trails and haul canoes/kayaks/bikes, not 'pimped' out with rims and all that nonsense.

People that consistently do not clean/maintain their nails, feet, and ears.

Two-faced liars.

People who think they are really worth more than other(s).

[/rant] That felt good.

I just experienced another pet peeve.

Please I hope no one takes offense to this BUT, every weekend, the same Jehovah Witness ladies come to my house. This has been going on for months. I have told them repeatedly in the nicest ways I can think of that I am not interested. They still return with people from their young groups & with others who are sure they can talk me into joining or attendind services with them. Recently, they brought me reading material for those who have doubts.
I have had it. I am fast reaching the end of my rope. Now I just don't open my door or windows until after they leave and that usually takes a while b/c they stand out there for the longest time.
When I say I'm not interested, that literally means, I'm NOT interested. Go away. Don't call me. I'll call you!

Call their offices and threaten to call the police or sue if they continue harrassing you. You don't want any and you have told them this before. They should put you on the "do not solicit" list.

Angry

I hate when someone comes up to the counter at work to place his/her order and is yakking on a cell phone, ESPECIALLY when there are others in line. Usually when they walk up, I walk away to help my co-workers and leave them in their own little bubble of inconsideration for others. I also hate when people are waiting for their orders to come up and walk in and out at least once a minute yakking on their cell phones. Either stay in or stay out!

Cell phones are the work of the devil. Even still I couldn't get rid of mine. I just know how to behave when I use one.

I also hate when people smoke in their cars when there are children in the car. That's so awful for the kids' health and they can't just go to another room or something. Rolling down the windows really doesn't help. Add to that people who do not properly secure their children in seatbelts/car seats, preferably in the back seat. It breaks my heart to see 4 or 5 little ones bouncing around unbuckled while the car is moving. It only takes a hard brake to send someone flying and ruin/end a young life.

I hate when you're doing laundry in the dorm and someone takes your clothes out of the dryer even though they are still wet just because he has to have his clothes dried first!

When people say they're going to do something and never follow through.

There are more of course, but I'm blanking right now.

When people bump into you and don't say excuse me.

People who go around thinking they're better than everyone else.

I hate this too! I was at Subway on Saturday for lunch and the girl ahead of me in line was talking on her cell phone while she ordered. She was telling the poor Subway employee what she wanted on her sandwich while talking on the phone, but she didn't change her tone of voice or make eye contact with the employee.

It was like, "And oh my god, you'll never guess what happened mayonnaise and lettuce Jimmy's getting married!"

The employee could not figure out what she wanted. I felt really bad for the employee!
