Okay, so my friend wants me to get some kind of guy perspective on this:

She met this guy that is the lead singer of a band that plays at our friends bar. He's really awesome and a nice guy, but she's kind of shy, mostly scared of rejection. She wanted to know what guys think as far as, would you be freaked out if a girl walked up to you between sets or after and said *and I quote her on this* "Could I have your phone number so I can call and ask you out sometime?"

Would you be freaked, or would you appreciate boldness? And if you were in the position, what would you do?

I will be honest and brief. It all depends if she is cute/hot/ good body....

if she is cute, then i will think she is joking, but still give her my number. if she is hot i will get a big ego because HEY A HOT GIRL JUST HIT ON ME . if she has a good body, i would look past everything.

so...i would appreciate her boldness if she was any of the things mentioned above.

Don't hate. i am just telling the truth. just like how girls dont like ugly fat guys hitting on them.

I think she needs to tread carefully because she doesn't want to look like a groupie. Yes, local bands can TOTALLY have groupies, and yes, the rest of us who are actually friends with the band totally make fun of them.

Anyway, I agree with Bobby - if she's good looking, she will probably have better luck than an average-looking girl would with that approach.

If she's worried, she could always try something that doesn't put her on the line so much, like make eye contact with him throughout the night and eventually get him to approach you. That works really well for me.

Whatever she does, tell her not to act starstruck and to talk about other things besides what a great singer he is!!
