Yes, the 80s was the last decade for REAL cartoons. Superfriends, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, He-Man and She-Ra, The Thundercats, Voltron. None of this computer animated isht! I feel so sorry for the kids of today.

Girl! No you didn't! I loved Jem too!
Remember these: Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Care Bears, Punky Brewster, the Get A Long Gang, Richie Rich, the Monchichis (they were soooo cute!), Strawberry Shortcake.
What about those 80s tv shows like: Webster, Silver Spoons, Family Ties (Alex P. Keaton was the coolest), Facts of Life (the early years when Edna's Edibles was where everybody worked. I didn't like it after she opened that store), the Cosby Show, and Diff'rent Strokes (Did those kids turn out to be losers or what?)and last but not least, Miami Vice (Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas were fffiiinnneee!)I can still remember that Miami Vice theme song!
Remember wearing those studded belts and wristbands? When stonewashed denim first came out? Wearing two different colored socks on each foot (alternating top and bottom color of course? Wearing bright a$$ fuschia lipstick? When gangtsa rap first became popular (Strawberry, Strawberry was the neighborhood ho LOL), Flavor Flav with that big clock around his neck? LOL
I'll come up with more later......

I've been doing some thinking about those 80s cartoons and I have some questions.
Okay, on the Superfriends, what was up with the Wonder Twins? Why were their powers so lame? The girl ALWAYS turned into an animal and the boy ALWAYS turned into something water related. Then, Wonderwoman had a so-called "invisible jet". But it really wasn't invisible because we were able to see it.
Then on Scooby Doo, why did the guy, I think his name is Fred, always send Scooby and Shaggy off together and then he left with Daphne and Wendy in the opposite direction? Were they off getting their freak on?
Why was Smurfette the only girl smurf? There was a Papa Smurf and a Grandpa Smurf, but no Mama or Grandma. I would have been worried for my life if I was Smurfette.

You know you grew up in the 1980's when....
Here is a little something to take some of us back down memory lane I know I laughed.
* You know what "Sike" means.
* You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, Wax off."
* You know that another name for a keyboard is a "Synthesizer."
* You can sing the McDonald's Big Mack, Filet-o-fish,quarter pounder,
and French fry song.
* You know who Mr. T is.
* You ever wore fluorescent, neon clothing.
* You could breakdance, or wish you could.
* You wanted to be The Hulk for Halloween.
* You Believed that "By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power!"
* Partying "like it's 1999" seemed SO far away.
* You wanted to be on Star Search.
* You can remember Michael Jackson when he was black.
* You wore a banana clip at some point during your youth.
* You knew what Willis was "talkin' 'bout."
* You HAD to have your MTV.
* You actually thought "Dirty Dancing" was a REALLY good movie.
* You remember when ATARI was a state of the art video game system.
* You owned any cassettes.
* You were led to believe that in the year 2000 we'd all be living on
the moon.
* Poltergeist freaked you out.
* You knew who Ben Stein was before you could win his money,"Bueller?"
* You carried your lunch to school in a Gremlins, ET, Dukes of
Hazzard,Knight Rider, Strawberry Shortcake or A-Team lunch box.
* You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf.
* You know what leg warmers are and probably had a pair.
* You wore biker shorts underneath a short skirt and felt stylish.
* You wore your Izod shirt with the collar up.
* You had a Swatch Watch with the Swatch Guard.
* Your Legos collection started with the free sets in a Happy Meal.
* You remember when Happy Meals came in a box, not a paper bag.
* You remember when Saturday Night Live was funny.
* You had Wonder Woman or Superman underoos.
* You know what a "Push Up" ice cream is.
* You had to come in the house when the street lights came on.
* You had to change into *play* clothes after school.
* You owned, or knew somebody with a Commodore 64.
* You hated Scrappy Doo.
* You recorded songs off the radio with your boom box.
* You wish you had a light saber.
* Somehow you still know all the words to songs played on VH1's "Big
80's"
* Your arm was full of rubber bracelets.
* You have ever said, "Gag me with a spoon."
* You have ever wondered what happened to Saturday morning cartoons.
* You had to get up to change the channel.
* You can still sing 1 to 12 from the Pinball machine on Sesame Street.
If you can identify with at least half of this list then you, my friend,
are a "Child of the 80's". Send this to anyone that would appreciate
going back to this wonderful decade

Okay since we are talking about cartoons in the 80's, maybe one of you can answer my question....it could have happened in the early 90's, i forget. It was this cartoon show that really wasnt on for that long and its certainly not on anymore but i loved it! I think it was called Bevery Hills Teen, or something! It was about a couple of teenagers living in bevery hills and there was this one namesd Bianca with black hair what was always up to no good. I remember something about some chef named Pier too! Does anyone know what im talking about?? or are you now wondering what country i was living in in the 80's? hehe

I always wondered, in the A-Team. They will use enough amunation (did I spell that right?) to armed a small country. But no one, I repeat, no one ever died or got hurt. And why did the bad guys all ways give them enough tool for the A-Team to create some weird machine to beat them. And why did the Cornel and the Army doing inside the country. Isn't that illegal. There is the FBI. And one last thing, the A-Team sucked when they started to work for that guy. You know, the guys that somehow got a Presidential pardon after the A-Team was caught by the Army. Don't get me started on Airwolf.

One last thing, you had to grew up in the 80's when you thought Dolph Lundgren and that dude from Belgium was going to be the next Arnold and Sly.

What about some "Dr. Shrinker" and some "HR Puff-n-stuff" and some "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" and "Sigmund the Seamonster" and all those other *fantastic* and *high-budget* Kroft TV Shows?!? Those were "way radical dude" (hehe). I can still sing the theme song to HR and some of the others...somebody had them on one night a couple years back and I was rolling! Witchy-poo from HR is my woman! To this day my brother and I sing "Oranges - Boranges" (for those of you who don't remember, Witchy-Poo was always trying to get Freddie the golden flute and she would sing these whacked out songs to the kid...this one was about the fact that no word rhymes with oranges) too d#mn sad that I can remember this, but not my email password!
I also saw an "old-school" commercial the other day for "Moncheechee, Moncheechee - oh so soft and cuddly" - too funny! All I can say was I was jamming to the Menudo while wearing my swatch watch and black fingerless Madonna gloves with the mini-skirt with the bike shorts under it with a big-a*s bow in my hair and 400 bangles on my arm (loved the Bangles too, btw) all the while trying to pass off electric blue eyeshadow as natural (since my parents wouldn't let me wear makeup)! Too funny - thanks for the blast from the past!!!

Yes, Hannabal, the "Colonel", George W. Peppard was the man. One of my distinguished fraternity brothers. His team certinally used a lot of ammunition and they always won in the end. I loved that show. Too bad they cant make shows like that anymore. My other 80s favorites were, "CHiPs" and "Magnum P.I". Why didnt they ever make a sequal to "TOP GUN". What a classic.
