Actually, that's what Dean thinks. On jkrowling.com, there is a section that gives you extra information on certain characters. His dad was a wizard but he never told his muggle wife or family. He was killed by DE because he didn't convert. Dean's dad had long since walked out on the family so they don't know what's become of him. JKR said that she really planned to develop his story line but opted for Neville instead.

I think it also mentions it on a facts list on mugglenet.com. I can't remember if I just searched for it or if someone posted a link here.

It's in a section called "unwritten facts" or something. Gives background information that isn't given in the books... like Ron and Hermione's actual birthdays and Harry's middle name.

And I will have to look for that editorial.
No need to look, here it is
Hermione and the Imperius Curse

There are fascinating things that JK has left out. She has mentioned that she might one day publish her notes as a book for charity. I hope she does; I think it would be a great read to see what could have happened, what we don't know, what we think we know, etc

One thing that I thought about after reading the above post and realizing after rereading OoTP....who is the spy? There is a spy in Voldie's camp and its not Snape he's too occupied with the students....but there is another spy...I don't remember when I realized it, it may be been during the second time that Harry "saw" the confrontation between Rookwood? and Voldie.

But there is someone and I hope its not Wormtail, but he will play an important part. Remember what Dumbledore said about the wizard debt that Wormtail owes to Harry, so maybe it can only be between the two of them. God forbid it be Lucious, he is just too irredemable.

Lilly is going to be very important to Harry's survival, we've seen it happen before, it may happen again. I think that is the foreshadowing that JK was referring to about PoA (the movie).

I haven't attempted to go to JK site and find the secret stuff.

(I wanted to repost this on a new page because it got buried)

That editorial isn't very convincing. I think someone is grasping at straws...

BTW, the "Do Not Disturb" sign is back on the door at jkrowling.com. Looks like we'll be getting some more news (hopefully soon)!

Gosh I hope this site was spreading rumors...

I was looking at various HP sites for a scarf/merchandise and read a small tidbit about the GOF movie cast.

Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean, Johnny English, Love Actually) is slated to play the "human" version of Voldemort.

All I can say is Really?

ETA: That was 1900th post! WOOT. And I am searching for that link. Can't remember where it was...

Oddly enough, I can kind of picture him as Voldemort.

Fascinating.

Goodness! I don't think I could even begin to imagine him as Voldemort! LOL He's just too...... GOOFY! I would expect it to be someone who is more "evil looking" I guess. But, then again, maybe it will be interesting.

I read somewhere that Ralph Fiennes is slated to play Voldemort. I'm thinking on MuggleNet.

That's just the thing... he's so goofy looking he's almost scary. Like he could snap and just start shooting people at any moment.

LOL!!!!

So, I was looking around on mugglenet.com, and realized that almost everyone who runs that site is younger than 18!!! Hhmm.... So, is it weird that I love this stuff so much and I'm almost 24? haha

Good... cuz I couldn't picture him as Voldemort. He will always be Mr Bean to me.
And funny how I can't find that link anymore... hmmm. Glad I didn't buy any of their merchandise.

I am still waiting for Colin Firth to be cast as a character. *swoons* But that's not gonna happen.

I started re-reading CoS on the beach yesterday and am about 1/2 through it (it was a loooong day on the beach). I'm really feeling like Colin Creevy might be important. Because, from what I am up to reading right now, we know that his father is a milkman but he never mentions his mother at all. Other than that, I don't know why I can't shake this suspection.

I hope that HBP isn't going to see another return of Riddle in some form, because that would just be annoying (yes, I know Riddle is Voldemort, but each of them is so seperated by Rowling that I think they are 2 different characters).
