Chocolate Alternative?
Actually, it tastes nothing like chocolate but works in recipes that use chocolate. It's CAROB!! I have yet to find another person who prefers carob to chocolate. I LOVE carob!! Anyone else out there? And does anyone have good carob recipes??

the only substitute for chocolate is white chocolate or special dark chocolate.

My mother gave me carob when I was a kid. She didn't want me to have chocolate at first. I thought it tasted awful. When I was 5, a kid gave me some chocolate and I have never looked back since.

I love carob. They used to have it as a topping at an ice cream place I went to as a kid. I actually preferred it to chocolate. BUT, I haven't had it in forever. I LOVE dark chocolate now, though.
