What about:

The Entertainer (The Sting)
Star Wars Theme
Indiana Jones

Those are readily recognized by almost everyone. Was there some rule against picking instrumentals??

I'm pretty sure "Fame" was included.

Sorry, but this comment struck me as funny. Since the music covers the past 100 years -- most of the songs are dated.

As with the rest of you, I agree with some of the selections and disagree with others as well as the order.

To each his own, as they say.

ETA that I'm always frustrated that the song chosen from The Graduate is invariably Mrs. Robinson. The actual theme song from the movie is Scarborogh Fair -- which I personally think is much better music. But, then again, nobody can get past the little red sportscar sequences with Mrs. Robinson.

you know what i hate about those lists that channels do about songs and movies and stars etc etc... well the vast majority of their picks are always from like, 50 years ago. 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s.... its like, HELLOOOOO!! there is some reallly good recent shizznit out there, lets BRANCH OUT PEOPLE!!!

This is the 100 Greatest Songs, and by definition a "song" must have lyrics, otherwise it is a "piece" or a "compostion". (Just FYI)

<~~Music Major (can you tell???)
