Post How do you know if someone is an intiated member?

I have seen all over this board where people ask others to email them privately to discuss something that is, well...private! That's great, but how do you know? I mean, I have no doubt about Hootie's discretion, or others because we are all aware of our responsibilities and try to live up to them always, but do people check before they start emailing other people that say they are a member? But, just out of curiosity, it is something I have wondered. and feel free to email it to me if it is private...but then again, how do you know I am an initiated member? LOL See how I am confused?

SuperXO~ (You're so cute girlfriend)
I couldn't agree with you more! It's impossible to know who IS and who IS NOT a Chi Omega out in cyberland! Especially with a lot of the things going on in the past. I've always been leary that a reporter might try to get one of us to spill our gutts without us knowing it.
I figure that if someone is new to the board we can't just JUMP to the conclusion that they might not be a true Chi Omega. HOWEVER you still have to keep it in mind.
In regards to the thread that was posted, I edited a portion of it just because I felt it needed to be. April, in my opinion asked a fair question, but it may have been one that needed to be asked in private.
So I figured if she wanted to take the time to email me, she was interested. But what was asked wasn't something that made me concerned really. It wasn't like she was asking for specific for our oath.
You are right SuperXO...there really isn't a 100% way to make sure we're ALL initiated Chi Omegas.
That's why I recommend keeping all posts clean of ritual information. It's the only way to be sure. Just WATCH yourselves

I agree about us needing to watch ourselves. We better make sure to keep each other's backs. Something I've wondered is that some people might come on, and try to get the trust of us... far fetched and conspiracy oriented, but you can never be too careful. I just make sure to not mention anything ritual - even in emails. I thing that we can sorta tell who is any who isn't really enthused, but we always need to look for warning or danger signs. They can be very subtle, or very obvious. And we need to watch that history doesn't repeate itself. I don't think that any one of us would really spill our stuff upon request, but I think a prudency would be beneficial.
