Question icebreaker games??

Hey!

We @ Omicron Nu Chapter here in Windsor, Canada have our Chapter Retreat this coming weekend (june 12th). As former prez, I was helping the current prez iron out wrinkles in the agenda and order of events for the weekend.

I was just wondering if anyone knows any good icebreaker/get-to-know-you games that the chapter can play in between group sessions and other business? We are going to be doing "Rose, Thorn, Bud" at the close of the weekend as a part of reflections. But does anyone have any fun games we can do as a part of team-building and sisterhood-bonding??

Thanks

Nanc.

Hey Nancy! I finally got to see what the ON's look like (including my adopted li'l sis) in The Lamp!

We did many ice breakers, but the one I always loved the most was "Warm Fuzzies." We would split up into groups of 6 - each girl has a bag w/her name on it...and each girl would take 5 pieces of paper. On each page, we would anonymously write something positive or something we admired about each of the other members of our group & put them in their warm fuzzie bag. WHen everyone was through writing, we could read our own warm fuzzies, either aloud or personally. It was always a great pick-me-up.

Also, have you ever done "Sisterhood Bingo?" At the beginning of the retreat, have each sister anonymously write down something about themselves that is unique, and create a grid w/square for each member, and put each trait into the square (then make copies to distribute for the game). Each sister has to go around to others asking "Were you a member of your high school's barrel racing team?" (or whatever) and have them sign it (you can't say "Sign where your name goes," as that defeats the purpose). You can put a time limit on gathering signatures...give prizes for the first sister who finishes or who gets the most signed in a certain period of time. It's a great way to get to know things about your sisters that you might not have had the opportunity to learn, otherwise.

Hope you all have fun this weekend!
