Best Places to Shop in Your Area

What are the best places to shop in your area? What are your favorite stores?

Century 21 and J & R are the best places to shop by me.

My favorite stores are high end audio salons, like Rhapsody Music & Cinema, but I can't afford that stuff.

There's nothing great in OKC really. The malls are all about the same.

There's a gigantic outlet mall called Arundel Mills that's pretty good, but parking is such a hassle that I rarely go there.

For pure shopping indulgence (or, in my case, window shopping indulgence!), nothing tops Tyson's Corner in Vienna, Virginia. It's an hour's drive from me, but the stores are incredible; Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman's, Tiffany, LV, Hermes, Gucci...if it's not there, then you don't need it.

Also, I'm about an hour's drive from upper Delaware and that's a good place to go if you want to make a major purchase such as jewelry or electronics because there is no sales tax in Delaware.

we have st. augustine outlet mall and it is a very popular place to go...

here in jacksonville, i am kinda bored with everything..however i do like shopping at the Avenues Mall.

my shopping trip for the fall will be a huge spree at The Mall of Millenia and The Florida Mall in Orlando. i LOOOOOVE those malls!!!!

A bunch, depending on what you like. Copley and Prudential malls, Newbury Street (Boylston as well), Cambridgeside Galleria, Natick Mall are a few.

Oh I so adore the malls of Atlanta

The malls in Greensboro and Winston Salem are more than adequate, but Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, South Park in Charlotte, South Point in Durham, and Concord Mills in Concord are all an hour and a half away or less. Also, there are some very adorable small shops in Burlington/Elon College that I love going to!

I'm still trying to plan a trip to the Mall of America- I have waited so long to go on a vacation where the mall is the FEATURE attraction, not just a side trip

when i went to Atlanta a month ago, i went to Lenox Square this mall is incredible!!!! i was in Heaven. i spent a nice amount of money there.

Menlyn Park, Brooklyn Mall are the two closest one from where I live.

If I head toward Johanesburg, it would be Village Walk, Sandton Mall, Fourways, Rosebank and Melrose Arch.

Hahaha! I love MoA! I'm going to Minnesota later this summer to visit two of my college friends and maybe F-face (you know who this is from LJ ) and I am SOOO excited for the mall!

And Milwaukee has a decent amount of malls, but most of them are pretty sucky. Mayfair and Brookfield are the only ones really worth spending significant time at. Grand Ave is near my apartment which is nice for a quick run into GAP, but when I want to shop, I go to Mayfair or Brookfield. My favorite outlet in Wisconsin is a tossp between Pleasant Prairie (GAP, Banana, J.Crew, Polo, Columbia, Brooks Brothers) and Johnson Creek because their GAP outlet is fantastic and always special orders stuff if they don't have it in stock.

I also do a ton of shopping in Chicago, but I'll let somebody else discuss that!

Here in Hell we have nothing, but in Birmingham there's an awesome place called "The Summit". Lots of nice stores. Half of them are a bit out of my reach at the present time, but even still I really enjoy going. It's an outdoor place so you walk from shop to shop and all the restaurants have a patio where you can eat. The only time it's a pain in the arse is when it's pouring rain or extremely cold.

I'll second Tyson's Corner. A lot of people also rave about Potomac Mills down in the Woodbridge, VA area, but I've never been there.

Hahaha, I thought I was in heaven also when I visited the Lenox. But it turned out to be a nightmare, since all I could do was windowshopping and torturing myself instead of buying anything. I am just a poor college boy

Hamburg Pavilion is probably the best place to go around here. They have Express, Old Navy, Marshall's, American Eagle, Victoria's Secret, etc. etc. plus salons and restaurants. Before they built Hamburg everyone used to go to the mall across town (it's supposedly one of the biggest in KY), but I hate going over there anymore because the traffic sucks...the only reason I go is the Bobbi Brown counter, but when we get a Sephora in Hamburg (it's up to me and my sister!) I will have no reason whatsoever to go to the mall.
