According to a recent study in Newsweek, more than one-third of U.S. high schools include abstinence in their sex education curriculums, and there are over 700 individual abstinence programs operating across the country. All of this, Thomas believes, demonstrates the current need for the Wait Wear line.

I can understand T-shirts. LOL, I don't understand the boxers, thongs and bikini underwear. Are kids supposed to visibly wear these items in order to show off the logo? If you are abstaining, who's seeing or needs to see your underclothes? If kids are getting to the point of seeing underclothes, is a logo really going to stop you at that point?

While I think this may be good for kids who are constantly faced with the pressure of having sex, I still can't get with people broadcasting their personal business-abstaining or not.

I think this is awesome. Those that are abstaining from sex until married are a rare breed in this MTV/BET generation...and only one doing it can understand the pride that comes along with this. I will proudly wear this shirt I think if u can wear shirts that say "porn star" and "bootylicius" that you should be even more proud to wear something that says you're willing to wait...but today's society is so moralLESS that one would probably be looked as "holier than thou" or demonized for wearing your convictions on your sleeve..

however...whats up with the undies?? I think that kinda defeats the point LOL...maybe some people need a reminder that late in the game

Although I do find the underwear a little , I like this idea. I wouldn't mind a "No Over-Nite Parking©" T-shirt myself. *lol*

I don't think that putting that message on underwear is contradictory at all. I mean, maybe if someone had those on and they get in the mood by the time they strip to the drawals, they'll see that message before they go ahead. I'm just trying to make sense of it..that's all. Did it work? Pro'ly not.

The thing is though - if you're abstaining, you aren't even supposed to be in a situation where someone might catch a glimpse of your underwear, let alone your goodies... at least, that's my interpretation of abstinence. "Everything but..." doesn't equal abstinence in my book.

These clothes are nto just designed to let everyone on the outside know that you are abstaining, btu also to remind youtrself. When you go to put on your boxers, or even in the lyrics of the lil man with blonde beebees "THAT THONG,THONG,THONG", you should be remind that I aint given up the goods until marriage. Unless I'm wrong I didn't know that thongs or boxers were exclusively worn by people who feel like they have to show they draws to somebody. "Shucks Preacha just might have on purple thong right now". LOL

That's true, but even in the act of abstinence, I'm sure some people have a hard time controlling their hormones. There are those times that it gets a little hot and heavy for some people and unless they "snap" out of it, they could go all the way, or get really close. I mean, even claiming abstinence may not keep some people from pursuing a 'touchy-feely' mode. To me, abstinence means refraining from sexual intercourse or anything that may lead to it, but everyone may not agree. I'm just speaking on general terms here. When I made that statement, I was kind of being sarcastic, but again, I see what you're saying.
