Recruitment Vocabulary
I'm currently one of my chapter's recruitment directors. During formal recruitment, after each party is done, the sisters all sit down for 5-10 minutes and write a few things about the girls they spoke to, good and bad. Well, I'm trying to set up a list of words for sisters to use when describing a girl besides them saying "she's nice" because we get TOO many of that. So I was wondering if perhaps maybe some of you have a few words that describe a person (good or bad) that I could use. I keep drawing blanks when I sit and try to think of some.

congenial
calm
sassy! (har har)
down to earth
Some of these can go either way, depending on facial expressions.

Phrases I have actually seen:
ditsy
ditsy but cute
ditsy but in a nice way
kind of pretty
pretty if you like redheads
preppy, maybe to a fault
sat so I could see her panties
had coffee breath
unshaved arm pits
has mustache
said **** continuously
really, really bad grammar
LOVES FOOTBALL!!!!
dates a football player
And so many more that I'm still trying to forget!

Lol, i'm definately guilty of writing "sat so you could see her panties" and probably a few others on that list.
Wonder if the panty girl was the same person... I can't remember what rush that was.

Were they a very bright pink? She was "Panties Girl" for the rest of Recruitment!

Lol, no, i believe they were white cotton. At least on the night i rushed her.
She was wearing a short skirt, no hose. For those of you who aren't Pitt people, most houses (mainly due to space... our suites are fairly big but can get nuts at recruitment) have the PNMs sit in the chairs/sofas and the sisters on the floor. What a view, let me tell you. Most girls at least attempt to cross their legs or something. Nope, she was sitting with her legs about 6 inches apart the whole time.
At least she was WEARING panties and not au naturale or g-string or something...... that would be freaky.

[as we hijack this into a Pitt Rush thread!]
All the sororities used to have storage lockers in the basement, about the size of oh, that smallish room on the informal side of the suite, between a large room & the hallway? Somehow, we had lucked out & had two, and had to clean them out when I was in school.
We found 30 little stools, about 20-24" high, upholstered in azure blue & white, and heard from an alumna that they were used when "no lady would ever sit on the floor, rush or not." For some really stupid reason, they were ALL thrown out!

That would be so nice, cause trying to sit "nicely" on the floor in a skirt has never worked very well... And then there is trying to get back up...

That is what I thought, but I was outvoted.
I've seen old photos of them being used; it looks sooo cool! Only sisters with dresses used the stools, those with pants sat on the floor.

I know one term that got used by us as a negative was "nondescript". Not the nicest thing to say about a girl, but not heinous either. It's a great word for that girl who's just okay but there's nothing special that sticks out to make her say "take me in your chapter, I'll fit in great!" In fact, we were never allowed to say that a girl was 'nice'. We had to find more descriptive ways of talking about girls. I remember one girl describing a PNM as 'pinky'--because this girl was so decked out in cutsie pink that there was no better way to describe her!
When my mom was in her sorority she said they used to say "nice but not necessary". I always thought that to be quite mean!

We aren't allowed to use the word "nice" in describing, so about a month before recruitment starts, we increase our vocabulary at chapter meetings. A few of my faves are "engaging" and "Kappa-esque!"

animated - always a good word.
Two of the big no-no words for us were cute and nice...we equated them with the other four letter words out there...because really, what does saying someone is cute or nice mean? Puppies, kittens, and babies are cute...so is that what I mean? One of my least favorite terms: clinique-able. UGH!

Did any of y'all ever read "Loose Change"? It's about a sorority at a California college (I want to say UCLA or USC, but I'm not positive). They talk alot about the different words that sounded innocent but meant something entirely different.
