Personally, I think brands are in bad taste. One of my LS's got one, and it was just very unbecoming-it was on her lower leg, so she couldn't even cover it up if she wore a dress or skirt. I don't think females should get brands, it is NOT representative of Finer Womanhood.

First this is IHO, and I can't speak for the thousands of wonderful, individual Sorors we have in our sisterhood (as we are a Sorority, not a clique, right Sorors? ).
I have no issue with Sorors having brands, and for those that know, understand why. I have a tattoo in lieu of a brand. I do, generally, not like it when women wear "body art" like brands and tattoos on very conspicuous places like forearms, calves, backs and the like. I got my tattoo for me, not for everyone else, and I have to live with it for life. Therefore, I gave some careful consideration on the most appropriate location beforehand. I am pleased with my decision. I have seen some wonderful brands and tats in very public areas of the body, it's just not for me.
So in sum, I have no issue with brands.

Peace & Blessings
To answer the question, I have no problems with Soror's having brands. I do feel, however, that they should be in an inconspicuous place, likewise with tattoos.

I have no problem with brands either, but I prefer that they be inconspicuous. I have a tattoo (not a Zeta tattoo, anybody want to guess what it is? lol, if you know me, than that's an easy guess) and it is on my upper arm. I can flash it when I want to and cover it very easily.
MillionFamily March- I was actually in the area but I couldn't attend. I heard great things about it though. They were mentioning on the radio that they were suprised by the amount of diversity of the march. I think that's great. I am glad it was a positive event!!

Believe it or not I have a brand. Above my left ankle. In April of 1993, long after I became a Zeta, I and a few other sorors decided (after days of discussion) to all get branded. I did it for several reasons, one of which was because every now and then I answer challenges. And in answering this challenged (read dare) I - with my quiet, sensible self - did what many, some sorors and other greeks, thought I wouldn't do, got a brand.
I got questioned and I guess you'd say "congratulated" about it at first, during the healing stage. It healed and life went on. You have to look close to see it today. While branding is NOT for everyone - bold or not- mine is there and I can't change it so I have no regrets.

I too have no problem with brands or tattoos. I have 2 tattoos in an inconspicuous place. I enjoy them especially because they are personal--no one will see them unless I intentionally show them.

I too have a brand on my left ankle which I recevied about a year after I crossed. I was branded along with 3 or my neos and one of my ships. I did it as a way to bond with my neos and to have an external manifestation of devotion to ZphiB...

Now, that's an interesting reason to be branded. I like it! I myself am not branded (I can't even stand a curling iron burn).
