chapter traditions?

Hey all,

lets share some traditions that each of our own chapters do. I think this could be a cool thread where we can share ideas and stuff like that. Ok, lets start with Kappa Psi. FIlthy Pike, myself and Tater are all from Kappa Psi (the Pomona bad boys!)

haha just kidding. we aren't the bad boys. anyways, at Kappa Psi....we:

1) Each pledge class makes their own shirt (very common i bet)

2) pledges carry around a toy firetruck (they are not forced to do it!). This is great because all the sororities and even GDI ladies try to steal the firetruck (even their pledge pins too!) It is a great way for the guys to get to know some ladies. Often times, if the firetruck gets stolen, then the pledge will do whatever it takes to get it back from the sorority. It's really funny. But the sororities never make the guys do anything crazy. often times just bake them cookies or get their finger nails painted by the chicks. fun stuff like that.

3) during greek week...good ole' "FROSTY" comes around. Frosty is our snowman that we painted in PiKA colors with a badge on. It seems as if its tradition with the Kappa Deltas that they try to steal "FROSTY". Once again, if Frosty gets stolen, then we do whatever it takes to get him back. Often times the girls will paint "FROSTY" in Kappa Delta colors, and even give him long hair. Its really fun!

4) The night before our greek week lip sync, we all go over to an unnamed mall! I refuse to name this mall!!! LOL. Anyways, we go all out. We go out at 12am to the parking lot at the mall, rehearse out skit. I'm talking in FULL COSTUME, ALL THE PROPS. We have tape on the ground that marks the dimensions of the stage, and blast the music and we practicing DANCING! EVERY single year the Cops come out and try to bust us because they think its a gang. Then they realize its a bunch of Fraternity guys, sometimes dressed in DRAG! AHAHAH One year we had a 6'6 330 LB TINKERBELL! Another year we had a 6'6 Asian Britney Spears! Oh my its ridiculous. Anyways, the cops just die of laughter and even critique us on our dancing. Its great.

5) We have a big bro little bro revealing

Those are just a few things that can come up off the top of my head. I'm sure many of you guys have awesome traditions! Being that my chapter is only a KAPPA PSI. I know there are Delta Lambdas, Delta Nu's, Epsilon Omegas, Alpha Eta, Delta Theta's, Kappa Epsilons! Lets hear it!

epsilon omega

mr.miller, stoutpike, and myself are all epsilon omega pikes. we have an unofficial mascot which is the wet beaver. we used to have a stuffed beaver i am told but it mysteriously vanished, hmm.
we have lots of traditions but most of them i cannt reveal, but some of them i can. we also have a gargoyle that is sacred to the members and the pledges steal it then the war is on. this semester the pledges got the better of us and kept it hidden all semester long. they paid for it though. there was lots of house tipping and long nights spent on the "farm". there is so many more but they are secret.

At Alpha Eta we make the pledges go and spray paint the SAE lion at both the UF and UCF campus. We also have " Flex Fridays" where we all go out to the front of the house, which is right across from the football stadium on University Avenue, and we sit out there flexing with our shirts off for the chicks walking and driving by while blasting house music. Its funny, all the chicks start screaming and honking their horns. We also had a hell week, but thats no more.

traditions

At CCU,

Our pledges also have to have a pledge class t-shirt. They have to have a social with all the sorority pledge classes. Each pledge class also must have a pledge class gift. We used to have them get the Pi Kapp's pledges football that they carry around everywhere, but that turned into a brawl in the business building last year. We have some really good tradition stuff we do every year that I cannot put on this board. If you want to know some of them just email me. We also do a pledge swap with another sorority and meet up at the club. I wish I could write more but not on here.
