Yet Another Fashion Question

I just bought a pair of milk chocolate brown pants. What colour shoes should I wear with them? Thanks

Hmmm that's a tough one...I think a rich, dark brown would compliment it nicely, but it depends on what shirt you wear too.

I'd go with peanut butter brown. I know it sounds like a strange combo, but millk chocolate really does go with peanut butter.

The pants go really well with pale coloured tops. I tried the pants on with a pink tee.

This is why I don't own any pants in any other color than denim, black, grey, or khaki...it's just too damn hard to find shoes to match!

My advice is to look for some shoes that are the same color as the pants. The tricky part is, if you get them too light, it'll look weird, and if you get them too dark, it'll look weird, so the match has to be pretty close.

The only other alternative is to try and match your shoes to your top. This can work, since having the same color at the top and bottom of your body sort of ties your oufit together. And, since the shoes will be kind of far from your shirt, you can have a little more of a variation in color and not be able to tell.

Stay away from wearing a different color shoe than your pants and top, though...for example, don't wear a pink shirt, the brown pants, and black shoes. The tri-color thing just doesn't work.

Plus everyone knows that black and brown don't mix.

Well, yeah, that too. I was just trying to think of an example.

One of my older sisters' friends came over the other night to show her these shoes she got to go with her Easter dress. The dress was powder blue with little green embroidered flowers on the front, and she got these bright grass-green shoes to go with it. She was trying to match the flowers, but...it just didn't fly. My sister was like, "Oh, that looks goooooooood!" but I was thinking, "Oh, nooo...."

Given the season, find a pair of really strappy heels. When there's not that much material actually on the shoe, it won't be as noticeable if they don't match really well. I'd try to find a match to the brown though- camel would look good, but then to wear a pink or light blue shirt? I'm not sure.
