Exactly. And you have to make sure they're long enough so you can wear some semblance of a heel if so desired. A few pairs I have I've had to let the hem down and resew it myself.

I'm 5'3" and I've also been this height since the 6th grade. My mom's 5'1" and my late father was 6'. What sucks is that my siblings all have the height--both sisters are 5'9" and my brother is 6'1". Ugh. Not fair.

I'm 5'4" and a half!
My little sis is only an inch shorter, and my parents and 3 brothers are all taller. And my sis is only 12, so I'm sure she'll get taller. It's kinda sad. They all pick on me for it, even the younger ones...

5'7" (somedays I get up to 5'8", but I never know when that'll happen )
I'm taller than my mom (who's 5'5" or so), but much shorter than my dad (who's 6'1" or so), yet I'm also taller than my step-dad (who's usually about 5'6" or so). So in family pictures, it depends on who I'm taking a picture with as to where I stand

I'm 5'4", I make up for it by wearing 4 inch heels when I go out on the weekends. Needless to say, that gets old real fast! Oh well.
