I watched. I thought the characters all had a strong resemblance to the real people, except for Christopher Walken although the mannerisms were pretty good.
I remember so clearly the day she died.
She was so beautiful and talented. I cried.
I LOVED her. Splendor In The Grass was the impetus to my interest in poetry. In HS, I did a cutting from "This Property is Condemned".
What a loss.

Darn, I meant to watch it but forgot completely about it
Cutiepatootie, I believe that the Executive Producer of the movie was Natalie Wood's sister Lana. But I'm not sure if Robert Wagner and her children were involved or not.

The Lifetime Network has an episode of Intimate Portrait about Natalie Wood. Robert Wagner, their daughters and her sister spoke about her.
I was 8 going on 9 when she died. I heard about her death on the morning while eating breakfast.
I remember that before she died, she was doing commercials for a skin care line called Raintree(?).
She was a beautiful woman and talented actress who was gone to soon.

Wasn't there questions of foul play when she died?

Yup, and Skittles spokesman, psychic friend network pitchman and avid actor Christopher Walken was on the boat that night too.

Not bad for a TV movie; it was produced by Lana Wood (Natalie's younger sister and 'Plenty O'Toole' in the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever).
Doubtful there would have been any objections to the film from R.J. Wagner or Natalie's daughters; even though he's since remarried (to Jill St. John - 'Tiffany Case' in Diamonds Are Forever), it's still painful for him to talk about it over 20 years after Natalie's untimely death.

I love Natalie Wood, but I wasn't crazy about the movie. I think I'd rather just watch the real Natalie in one of her movies.

it took me forever to think of who the actress was who played her....but she was in A&E's version of Tess of the D'Urberville's as "Tess"....one of my fave books, so i watched and loved the movie.
i love natalie wood....she died the year i was born, but i've watched every single movie she ever made and am a huge fan. i thought the movie was good....revealed a lot i didn't know. what a troubled life.....
she's still one of my favorite actresses. just beautiful and very talented.....sad story, though.

Who are her children? And what are they doing now?
I know Natasha Gregson Wagner is an actress, but I thought her other daughter was Katie Wagner, who was on Comcast "what's on" or something. However, in the movie they called her Courtney. I'm confused...

Katie wagner is from RJ's other marriage before he went back wit natalie.
Courtney is both natalie and RJ's
Natasha is from her marriage to that british actor /director though i still dont understand why she has the wagner last name whenit was gregson
