Ebay Auction - Please Read

CLICK HERE TO GO TO AUCTION

Word just came down throught the Phi Tau channels that some douchebag is auctioning off all the Lambda Chi stuff he "found" while demolishing the Lock Haven House - INCLUDING A RITUAL BOOK!!!

I'm not sure who any of the bidders are, but it would be very comforting to know that this stuff wound up in the "right hands".

ZAX,

pman

Based on his discription that it is sprial bound with a red cover, I don't think it is trully "Ritual" but rather "Ritual, What and Why", and open book.

Thumbs up

Matt, 2 points,

Kip Z emailed me and said was going to put preasure on about it and Jono passed me an email from Chip H stating it was Ritual, what and why. Worth $3.00.

Dont know for sure as have never seen a Ritual book.

This same person has had different LXA things with the same BS!

I really cannot say for sure?

Guess will wait and see what happens.

You know, as I was posting, that did cross my mind. I don't remember the hourglass on the cover though...

It's a "What and Why" book.

Jeez - only a true SAP would pay $200 for it.

Has anyone contacted this guy to inform him it is exoteric in nature, and only worth $3.00, if that much?

I have an official copy of "Ritual What and Why" ... it DOES
have a red cover and an hour glass on the cover...so I'm sure
that's what he's got.

Calm Down Gang

I was at "Ground Zero" many summers ago when that House was shut down. There seemed to be a real schizm between the alumni and chapter members at the time, so not wanting the heritage of the chapter to get lost in the shuffle, some LHU brothers and myself went through the house and packed up all of the LCA items that were of any value and put them in my old town house's cellar.

That being said, the ritual equipment and books were taken by Larry Mansfield several weeks prior and were shipped off to the vault at the end of Raiders of the lost ark. All this was back in 2000. Later on Andy Longo at LCA coordinated several local alumni to come to get all the stuff from me to put it into storage for safe keeping. Now there was some stuff left at the house, tons of old BS papers and assorted LCA junk. Unless someone squirreled away a ritual book inside a wall, I doubt there was much of anything left there anymore (besides a large item that was smashed in the front yard which I will not discuss on here) that was rendered into so much scrap wood.

Now the sad thing for our trash sifting friend here is like so many band wagon collectors that I have seen. For example; I have collected old comic books and related collectibles for maybe 15 years now; for the most part not much of it is worth anything, however some 15% of it has some worth. But everyone who has a spiderman action figure or an old 1970's Superman comic assumes it is "WORTH BIG BUCKS" however, in most cases this is wrong and they fail to consult anyone until they embarrass themselves at some point. To close it out, this fellow has our "Ritual : What and Why", which is red in color with an hourglass on the cover. I also collect and have a fair deal of knowledge on the limited world of LCA collectibles and paraphenlia, I am curious to see how upset this fellow gets his intended buyer when they see what it is they have purchased.

Pizza Man; what Phi Tau Channels did you hear this from? Dave Warden? You should check with me before you get upset about this kind of stuff!

Actually, it wasn't Warden. He was one of the last ones to chime in, but the first to try to start to buy the thing. I've talked to him twice since, and everybody now knows what is up.

It actually came from an alumni casually surfing ebay and stumbling across it. By the time I read the email, there had already been about 7 replies, and I came here first.

Sorry to start a tempest in a teapot, but when I hear "Ritual" and "Ebay" in the same sentence, I tend to let my emotions take over. All apologies to any brothers I have upset in this situation.

ZAX,

pman

I emailed all the prospective buyers and the seller letting them "know" their mistake.

Ritual has been taken off of ebay. Good or bad, I am sure Kip Z had a hand in it as I had contacted him.

Apparently Kip sent an email to all bidders just like I did. I don't think this guy will ever sell this on Ebay, but he just keeps trying.
