No, sorry, I'm going to District 5. Is anyone else going to D5?

I hate to sound like a complete bonehead here, but I have absolutely no idea what district I'm in. I can list all the chapters in my province and that's about it.
Also, who can go to distict? Is it only for collegians on exec board and their advisors?

I really have no idea how to find out... I just figured it out by the dates of it and where I knew it was being held.
I think anyone can go though...
So forget I asked who else is going... I'm not going anymore... major, major financial issues.

I think the districts are listed on Pride Online. But since you asked, here they are:
D I:
AL, FL, GA, MS, SC
D II:
KY, NC, TN
D III:
CN, DL, DC, ME, MA, MD, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT, VA, WV, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec
D IV:
IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, ND, OH, WI, Manitoba, Ontario
D V:
AR, CO, KS, MO, NB, OK, SD, TX, LA
D VI:
AL, AZ, CA, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY, Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan
OK- It's been forever since I had to do all those initials so they may not all be right (Hawaii= HI ????).
L&L,

eta: the correct abbreviation for PA- thanks, honeychile!

(psst - Pennsylvania is PA...)
One summer job I had, I needed to learn all of the state abbreviations and most of the local zip codes. It's one of my parlor tricks to this day!

Does anyone know who can attend district? Is it just the collegians and their advisors or can other alumna attend?

It is designed for collegiate officers and their advisors. Not all the officers are required to go; there is a list of who is required (I don't have one but I imagine it's executive committee) and if the chapter wants to pay for other officers to go, they can.
HOWEVER, if you're an alumna who wants to come and help, there may be opportunities for that. Gift Mart usually needs some help. You could contact the DTD in your District and ask if you can come help with decorating, registration packets, etc. Usually the TCCs do that but they might be needed elsewhere. If you want to know who the DTD is for your district, PM me or it should be on Pride Online somewhere.

I believe if you are a House Corporation Member/Officer or an Alumnae Association Officer you can attend as an alumna also!

ForeverDiamond if you are going say hello to my eta beta girls I am sure that they will be there! Although I swear someone told me that we changed districts and we were no longer in DIII. I went to districts two years ago and its mostly exec officers and I think the only exception to that is NMC gets to go as well. I got to go in place of our MEVP and we had a great time!
ForeverDiamond is it in Baltimore again? I know when we went the Baltimore alumnae association did a lot of work to help plan and run the function so if District convention is near you then I'm sure they could use the help.

I'm not going I was supposed to, but I just can't swing it financially right now. I'll tell my chapter to pass along greetings though! It was opened up to anyone in my chapter who wanted to go, not just exec.
I'm pretty sure it's in Baltimore... Eh, somewhere in Maryland anyway.

Some Districts may be having training for alumnae officers but most are not- it would have to be something extra they added as it's not on the standard agenda. In the past we have invited alumnae associations to come receive training but now the focus is on collegiate officers.

District 3 is in Maryland again. Same place as last year. We bailed out last year due to the snowy weather, so not sure where in MD.
Alumnae Associations officers can get training on a Pearl Conference Call! The next one will be held on 2/15, but you need to reserve a spot early! Contact alumnaedirectors@yahoo.com for more information.
Usually DLC is for collegiate members and advisors. Convention and Conference will have Alumnae Association and House Corp. programming.
