My cousin used to practice Wicca. I don't think she is still actively practicing day to day, but a couple of weeks ago while we were out running errands, she told me, "Oh! I need to go home! It's a full moon and I need to do a spell." Whatever floats her boat I suppose.

I'm also a Roman Catholic, RB.

Man, it appears you all know a lot more about it than me... It sounds a little strange to me, but whatever... Is this a form of religion?

i had a teacher in high school that was a practicing wiccan. it's not so much about spells and witchcraft as it is worshiping nature, and yes, the moon.

Yeah it is a religion, about nature. Wiccan are confused with the crazy people in black at the mall that say they are witches. Wiccans (for the most part) are good kind people that believe in balance.

I don't doubt that, but I believe that what society is missing these days, are some good old-fashioned, randomly chosen scape-goats. Wiccans fill that role to a "T."

I am now declaring 9-11 to be the fault of Wiccans, even though they didn't do it.

In our colony days, we had a fella that turned out to be a practicing Wiccan.

Due to other reasons, he was told to leave.

His mom called our HQ and threatened lawsuit for mental anguish

Everyone had a good laugh.

I had a friend last year that "practiced" Wicca.....I don't think she quite got the point and purpose of it..she was more into the look of it I guess.

OP, were you really a Wiccan in 9th grade? That is very interesting. So, did you worship the moon, like really worship it? Can you practice Wicca and still be a Christian? If I am sounding ignorant or niave, I apologize.

krazy, I would suggest you check out http://www.witchvox.com You'll get more informative answers there, since there really isn't a large population of GC wiccans.

And Wiccans are different from people who practice traditional witchcraft. Wicca is a fairly new thing, even though it incorporates some practices and beliefs that are much, much, much older.
