Fairy Tale theme
I'm looking for some ideas.... Our Winter semi-formal is coming up and every year, we try to involve our new members in the date party process by having them pick the theme, the decoration, the favor, etc., along with some guidance from the Social Chairman (me) of course! Anyway, I met with our wonderful new members the other day and the decided on "Pi Phi's Prince Charming", with a fairy tale theme, which I think is adorable!
None of us have very many ideas in the way of decorations - so far, they want to make a baloon arch and hang lots of silver stars - but I'm looking for some other ideas. Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

I was at a convention this summer that had a Prince Charming theme. The centerpieces were made from 2 shoe boxes and Pringles cans, covered & glittered. One person was the Magic Fairy and she would tap people on the shoulder & grant "wishes". Two little girls sprinkled pixie dust on people.
There was a giant backdrop of a castle for photos; I can't think of everything else. I'll look through my pictures tonight.

when we had our "fairy tale romance" semi, we didnt have many decorations cause we had a beatuiful ballroom. but one thing our social chair did was make magic wands for each of the girls. they were made out of thin dowels and wood cut-out stars. they were spray-painted silver and then she glued sequins on each of the points. they were super cute.

I'm the new social chair for my chapter and you're idea sounds cute. I wish I had some imput, but we've never done that theme. On another note, for all you other social chairs out there, where do you all get your favors for semi's and formal? I'm tired of doing the glasses, candles, and picture frames..I need a creative idea to go along with the "masquerade" theme I'm trying to pull
