I'm pretty sure that once they go through the operation they are considered women for all practical purposes, so they'd be a lesbian. If they just like dressing up as a woman, but don't have the operation, then they're straight.
I swear we discussed this in some class that I had, which shows you what kind of education I'm getting.

Well the surgery makes him a transsexual....in his mind, he's gay, because he was always supposed to be a girl.
Big props to me for remembering that from Human Sexuality, one of the weirdest classes at MU.
