Who has wrecked their car thanks to the snow this year?
Yippee for me, I just wrecked my car!!!!
The best part is, I just bought it December 1.
Isn't life grand?
Anyone else suffering like me?

That really sucks.
Your insurance going to cover it?

I don't know that I'm going to turn it in... it's really not that bad, I hit a guard rail with my front right fender and it dented the piece above the fender, moved the headlight and messed up the paint. I don't want to turn it in if it's less than $500 in damage, b/c that's my deductible and I don't want my insurance going up.

That sounds like what I did to my car last week. I skidded into a guard rail, dented the fender badly and popped headlight out. I tried to get it fixed but the dented fender covers the hood so I can't get it fixed until I have auto body work done.

Check with your insurance first to see how much it would go up and for how long. It might be worth it if the price is somewhere under like $1500 or so. I know when I had my first wreck, my insurance doubled.

I hope you weren't hurt!
I wrecked my car last year right after Christmas. Hit some black ice, did a 180, and slammed into a guard rail. The car was in the shop for a month. And I lost my good-driver insurance discount to boot. On the up side, no one was hurt, and no other vehicles were involved.
Now, if there's even a hint of snow, I telecommute.

Wrecked my parent's car, didn't feel like moving my car, so took theirs, I just got a brand new car in July so I guess it's better their car than mine, but still hurts.

I wrecked my own chassis!!
I took my mama to lunch on Friday, and coming out of the restaurant, hit a HUGE patch of ice, and went down, feet up, flat on my back. Then my mama fell on top of me, gouging my eye with her fingers! It was something out of a Three Stooges movie!
Both of us got checked, we're both just badly bruised, but I thought I'd be a sweetheart and take her dog out for her earlier today. HER sidewalk was a sheet of ice, and I went down again! I was feeling really klutzy until both my brother & his wife did the exact same thing!
Just call me bruiser...

NOT MY FAULT!!!! A pickup truck coming from the other direction lost control and slid across the highway and into my car....
...and I just paid it off a MONTH AGO.
As you can probably tell, I'm not a happy camper. But I walked away almost unharmed, so I am pretty grateful for that.

I dented my car this winter, but the weather didn't have anything to do with it.
Some guy got impatient while I was turning and decided to drive into me. Not enough damage to do anything about, though... and he took off without stopping, so I couldn't get him for it anyway. Oh well. Car's on its last legs anyway.

Ok, I started this thread a few months ago after the first time I wrecked my car. Well, I was sitting at work today when my mom called to tell me my car was just totalled!~!!
She had my car because I used hers to move to Virginia this weekend and we were going to switch next weekend. Well, she had it parked at work when someone came around a bend and slid right into it. My car was hit so hard it knocked a sign on steel posts and planted in concrete off in one piece and wrapped my car around a telephone pole. The other car broke a telephone pole in half.
Everyone is ok, I'll have to post pics if I can get them... it sounds pretty bad.
Guess I wasn't meant to have this car!
