I like Mandy Moore and I like Roman Holiday, which this movie is based on -- but I'm worried that there's no way that this can compare to RH, which is one of my favorite movies.

I didn't know it was based on Roman Holiday. I like Mandy and the previews do look good. But I think I'll wait and see the Katie Holmes movie that is kind of similar to this one.

Mandy Moore is typecast...you've seen one of her movies...you've seen them all.

I wouldn't mind being equally type cast . . but yeah a lot of actors are.

Especially leading men. Often they are themselves in all their movies.

I am watching Roman Holiday as we speak . . .

There are some central differences. First, Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck are superlative screen personalities, only time will tell if Mandy Moore and Matthew Goode rise to that level.

Also Audrey is 24 and Gregory Peck is 37 to Mandy's 19-20 and Matthew's 26. . . oh my wouldn't people scream at the age difference today lol?

Those years make a difference I think in the "depth" of their performances. A 24 year old makes a more intense 18 year old than an 18 year old.
