Inspired by the Who Likes Being home thread.....

I thought I'd ask this question. If you went away for school, where did you decide to live/think you want to live? Where you grew up/ went to High School/family lives, or near the school you went to?? Or an entirely different place instead??

I loved LA when I went there for school, so someday, many years in the future, I'd love to move back!!!!

I'm from Manhattan, went to school in Tallahassee, and I live back in Manhattan where I plan on achieving total global domination.

I'm right now going to school among horse and buggies. By next summer or fall, I want to be in Manhattan. My inner city girl needs to be released!

I grew up in Florida, but went to college in Georgia and Alabama.

With that said, I would love to move back to Athens, GA. I think I like Athens so much because of the weather and it's location. It's close enough to Atlanta to be convenient for shopping and transportation (airport) purposes, but far enough away to have it's own personality. Oh, and UGA is there, too

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, went to school in Iowa City and moved to Chicago after I graduated. It seems pretty common for people who grow up in the midwest to go away to Big 10 universities and then move to the city.

I got bored with that and moved to Colorado.

I grew up in DC, I go to school in rural massahusetts. I think when I graduate I will live in some major city in the US or in some other country

Well I spent all my life growing up in Omaha, NE and then moved off to Columbia, MO for college. My parents both went to med school in NYC though and lived there for many years and we have tons of family there, so HOPEFULLY once I am done here at Mizzou I'll be off to grad school in NYC. I love that city!!!!

Lived almost my entire life in Southern California (all except for one year in Bremerton, Washington), so when I went away to school in NW Indiana, I swore I was never coming home.....

...look where I am now

I hope to stay in this area for a while, but I still want to live in a secluded place with lots of land around me on every side. Someday, my wish'll come true

Grew up in North Jersey ( outside of NYC, staring at the Manhatten skyline ::waves to russel:

School in South Jersey (outside Atlantic City)

Law school.....??? Hopefully outside NYC, again, but in NY state this time.
::crosses fingers for #1 choice school::

I'm not sure where I would like to settle down...most likly NYC or DC metro area...outside chance of it being Philly. All I know, where ever I move, I'm a JERSEY GIRL at heart...and LOVE NYC to death!!

I grew up and lived all my life in a Connecticut suburb before going to college - went to school in Boston, and have continued to live here since my graduation in May.

Probably will be here for at least the next few years, then who knows.

grew up in NJ..moved to new mexico when i was in high school with my family. stayed in NM for college. moved back to NJ first chance i got after that

Hm, grew up in 2 places! KC Metro and small town SWMo, Home Of Harry Truman! Lot more to that story!

Well off to Small Town NW Mo booted then to SWKs. I had a name, not a Number, new My Profs and anyone else on Campus! Not All, but a bunch!

Ended back in Metro KC Area!

Traveled With RHMacys, The Winery and then the Distillery to all parts of the Country! Nice to visit BUT, Where can you be in 20-30 minutes in any Major City but KC!?

Where do you want to fly to? Cuts time about in half Cause You live In KC! Want to find someone? Want to be Lost? The Big and The Little Type of City! All in one Place!

OKay, I should be a Poster Boy for KC!

I grew up in South Florida (except for 2 years in Japan). I moved to Orlando for college and I'm now living in Orlando. I'm hoping to move back to South Flizzle eventually.

i lived in upstate new york for the past 19 years, until i decided it was time to move elsewhere - LAS VEGAS to be exact

im definitly deciding on whether or not its SoCal or back east when im done with school .... decisions decisions
