FRED facts

I love trivia and interesting facts. If you find an interesting tidbit about Zeta, post it here or post your favorite FRED fact.

I found this in the 1956 "History of Zeta Tau Alpha": The term "Farmville Four" was coined and first printed in the 1928 edition of our history.

It is available for anyone that wants to read it. Collegiate chapters usually have a copy laying around or you can find one on eBay if you want your own copy.

Rumor has it that I/O has someone working on an updated version.

You can also order it through Barnes & Noble out of print store. I got mine pretty reasonably through them.

I got my First and Second Volumes of E-bay. They are on there pretty regularly. Keep your eye out for them.

I have to agree with Stacy, there is TONS of information about our history in there. I love going back to it to look up info. Best investment when I became a Zeta. I can't wait if they put out a new edition!

ZLAM,
Meredith

PS - no, I haven't heard anything about the updated website - Erica!

Cool FRED Fact

It says in the History of Zeta Tau Alpha that pledges were initated after 2 weeks! And that one of the first initiates was already a graduate of Longwood College!

Cool!

Do you know what Alpha chapter's colony was called?

Mu Omega. This is a trick question. When Zeta joined NPC they had to give up their chapters at some schools, including Longwood. From 1926-1949, Mu Omega was a local there which eventually became ZTA when Alpha re-colonized.
