The Last Samurai
I just saw a sneak preview for this movie. I thought it was pretty good. I really have no clue when this is coming out (maybe this weekend?), so whenever anyone else sees it - what did you think? It has action, drama, culture, a little bit of humor, and a touch of romance. I would definitely recommend this movie. And Tom Cruise is definitely hot!

I'm no Japanese history expert, but I'm curious to see how accurate they're going to be judging from what I already know.
I wonder if the movie's rating will get to include some harakiri and/or seppuku.

Everyone should go see this movie....I've seen quite a few movies this fall and this one is incredible. It is defnitely a 4 star movie...it is long so make sure you don't drink that coke too fast or else you'll have to go to the bathroom and miss something important. I'm not a "big Tom Cruise fan" but he does a fantastic job in this movie. The only criticism is that Tom Cruise could have done better on the showing the signs of alcohol withdraw in the movie....although I can't say whether it was or was not an accurate portrayal as I've never seen it first hand.
There is no seppuku although Step 5 is "Get really super pissed" and people definitely do that in this movie.

From what I've seen/heard, this movie is going to kick ass. Now I just have to convince the girlfriend to see a war movie....

i saw it last night and thought it was very good. I thought it was somewhat long, but i think any movie over 2hrs is getting long...

I saw it last night. I thought some parts were a little drawn out, and I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but it was an excellent movie. You should go see it.
But please, please, please DO NOT make out with your girlfriend during this movie. ESPECIALLY if you're a loud kisser!!!!
