Congratulation England

Great game for the World Cup final. Over time with Wilkinson kicking the drop goal to win it all. England should've won it in regular time, but in the final analysis, England won.

YAY FOR ENGLAND!!!!

England 20 - Australia 17

I am soooo happy they won! Unfortunately, they didn't televise the match out here. I had to keep an eye on the BBC website.

Anyway, this rocks! Leave it to Jonny to save the day! I love that guy! Thanks moe.ron for the shout out to England. <hug>

Where are you located? Are you still in South Africa? I imagine that the British telecast would be biased towards England and the Austrailan one towards the Aussies. If you were watching a broadcast to RSA then I wonder why the commentators would be like that. They're probably just sore that their team got knocked out and because England stomped the Springboks earlier this year.

There is two channel that carries it. Supersport 1 and 2. The first one is in English and it carries the IRB simulcast. Since it's being held in Australia, the Australian are the one broadcasting it. The 2nd one is in Afrikaner. My Afrikaans isn't good enough that I can follow the game. So,yeah, I'm stuck hearing how great George Creegan is for the entire game.

When they gave the cup to the english, PM John Howard was the one that gave it to them. Funny thing is that you can tell he wasn't happy.

ETA: they want Streulli head on a platter down here. Plus, now it seems the Bokkies were severely hazed with a gun pointed at them. Go and read it in the risk mgt thread. Awful stuff.
