Thanksgiving Plans
What are everyone's thanksgiving plans?
My family is not super big on holidays, so we generally chow down early then catch a movie or go bowling.
Normally there are some pretty good movies that come out over the long weekend. My brother and I want to see the Missing (new Ron Howard movie), so maybe we can talk the rents into that one.
My mom might pass on the bowling this year - broke her nail last year and never let us hear the end of it.

We're going over to Mr. Ginger's parents house for an early lunch, and then taking them to the airport so that they can go to a cousin's wedding. After that we'll probably just spend an 'us' day together.

my family is INSANE!!! we all go over to my grandpa and grandma's house on thanksgiving around 1 in the afternoon. typically we have hors dourves, drinks, enjoy each other's company, the ladies cook and get the table looking fabulous, while the "men" and i say that lightly b/c it includes my 13 year old cousin either watch football or play football out in the yard.
we usually each our BIG meal around 4pm until everyone is stuffed! then the 16-24 year olds get to clean up, while my little cousins like to perform skits for the aunts, uncles and grandparents
then we break out the cards! my family loves playing cards - we usually get a few games of poker, euchre, or something going. we eat desert, some people have seconds on dinner or turkey sandwiches - and we drink
generally, i don't leave family parties before 11pm or 12am!

At my dad's request, we are once again having dinner at my house.............which will include: my dad, my mother, my sister, myself, and as of last night my cousin, plus two dogs and two cats.
My parents have been bitterly divorced for 11 years.........it was weird when we did it last year( at my sister's request and my cousin excluded) and it'll be even more weird this year............I'm not looking forward.

We're having Thanksgiving at my house, like always. Watch the parade in the morning, shower, I'll probably go pick up Grandpa at oneish, he'll come over, we'll watch football, eat around 4, eat some dessert, play cards, eat some more dessert.
I'm so gross at Thanksgiving - all I'll eat is stuffing and green bean casserole!

I love thanksgiving!
My family (the 6 of us) always go over to my aunt's house for the entire day. My two cousins and their families are there...and then my aunt's husband and his three brothers, and their families come over. So basically there is about 30 of us in the house. It's always a riot.
The best is that us kids do stupid bets. Like the last time we were all together my cousins bet my brother that he couldn't drink 4 cups of gravey in 10 minutes. So he did and we all video taped it and the adults all watched it later and laughed their butts off. Then this summer (another example), my cousins dared my same brother to do the Milk challenge (drink a gallon in a hour). He got thru 50 minutes of gut-wrenching milk and got sick. That was unfortunate b/c there was $120 on the line
So basically the holiday get-togethers are nothing but crazy fun in my family!
Any ideas for a challege this year

Am going to Tennessee on Tuesday and hanging out with RT. On Thursday AM were driving down to Augusta to meet the parents. Coming back Friday afternoon and will probably hang out at RT's for the weekend. Have some us time, which will be cool becasue we havent seen each other since the first part of October.

Flying to Mr Munchkin's on Tuesday afternoon, eating good good food (both of his parents are in the culinary world), getting lots of play, and working on my "Understanding and Documenting Historic Architecture" final presentation due that Monday.

I think we're going to drive to the Chi. We probably won't be able to make it for Christmas so it makes sense to go now, plus I can feast on the vegetarian stuffing my mom makes for me. After that, we can get our party on when Frankie Knuckles rocks the HOB.

My fellow study-abroad people and I are all getting together with some Germans to educate them about the wonders of T-day. We're all making something different -- I'm making pumpkin pie!
