Greek Life Newsletter

Hello all,

I'm the VP of Publicity and Fundraising for the Panhellenic on my campus. Recently we've been having issues with our university's newspaper. No matter how many letters to the editor we send in, they don't publish anything "good" about greek life. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has a Greek life newsletter. If you do have a newsletter would you be able to give me a few suggestions to jump start one at my universtiy? Thanks so much!

Instead of wasting your time writing letters to the editor why don't you just get few members to get jobs with the school paper? Then you will be deciding what goes in the paper.

We have one at Eastern Kentucky University called, "The Leader's Lantern"

It is published every November and March. November issues gives an update of each chapter on campus NPC/IFC sometimes NPHC, and it tells of any news over the summer and happenings up to that point as well as homecoming results. It also has information about our annual Cheer for the Cure that is put on by Panhellenic every December.

The March issue again gives updates of all of the chapters on campus as well as Greek Week results/articles and upcoming events for the rest of the semester and the summer.

As far as distributions, all chapters get a few copies to set by the bulletins boards on their floors, and copies are also placed in a rack outside of the student development/greek affairs office inside the student center building (whcih also contains the cafeterias so everyone has to walk through there/by there. that rack also contains, other campus flyers, campus maps, greek recruitment booklets, and a few other things.

Hope this helps!

We actually have a few members of the Panhellenic on the newspaper staff. However, the newpaper section editors and general editor aren't willing to place thier articles in the issues. Thanks for the suggestion but we've tried that too.

Hm, is this the do rightous Hilter Youth at work?

The only news that they feel fit to print is what they want? They should go a long way in the real world

So as madmax said, take over the paper! God, I love some of his ideas!

Be a concertated effort, not a member of the concentration camp!

Bare Knuckles take work, GO GO GO!
