Whats up whats up! I've actually been hanging out with a couple girls here and there at night...and I had a sister help me with one of my midterms last week! Its so much fun hanging out with them and I can totally be myself! They are so awesome I just want it to be spring so I can go through rushing SAI!!!!! I totally was on Greek101.com the other day and i was like grrr i wanna buy a tshirt already lol. but anyway! I'm excited and I wanna get so involved :-D Its a great feeling to know that I'll finally go greek, I can't wait to learn more and more about SAI...what have ya'll done in terms of fundraisers?

You will love SAI.

Fundraisers? We've done lots. Bake sales, of course, and car washes. We've also done yard sales before! Sounds funny, but everyone always has junk to get rid of, plus it's easy and it's all profit. At Valentines Day last year we had a kissing booth! LOL Guys paid a dollar and they either got a kiss on the cheek or a few Hershey's Kisses. We made pretty good money with that!

Another popular fundraiser here is having a Chili Sale. Music people love that because we rarely have time to go eat lunch so we'll GLADLY buy some homemade chili!

If you need any more ideas, just let me know.

I think you'll really enjoy SAI. I was dissapointed at first when I didn't go through regular Rush (I knew I couldn't afford an NPC sorority)...but then I discovered SAI, which ended up being the best fit afterall because of my love of music.

It's funny, but Rush is even MORE exciting when you're a sister. I'm so excited about our Rush, I can hardly stand it!

I wrote this in the rush board, but i may as well add it here to!

Back again ya'll...things have been so crazy here this past semester and we only started January 12! I haven't posted in a while, but anyway...rush updates..here we go:

SAI:

We had rush last week. The girls are so awesome and amazing....the first night of rush I couldn't go because I had a class, but the second night we had a really laid back and casual night discussing history and drinking hot chocolate...we also played a few icebreaker games and were given Pan Pipes (the newsletter) to read and look over pamphlets and stuff about the organization.

The next night of rush we all went out to dinner (about 25 of us!) to a chinese buffet...it was sooooo good! I got to meet new sisters and other pnm's. They are all so sweet! After dinner, we went to a kareoke bar and had a total blast, we all got up and sang songs and acted totally wacky! It was awesome, I haven't had that much fun in a long time with a bunch of girls!! The next morning was a photo scavenger hunt and a mixer with some local alumnaewhere we were in groups of 4 or 5 and taking wild and crazy pictures and stuff, it was a great way to bond with the group i was with and have a great time! After the scavenger hunt, a few pnm's were on our way back to the dorms when a bunch of sisters driving along asked us if we wanted to join them for lunch, of course we agreed! Well after lunch, I went back to the dorms to change into something for the mixer.

At the mixer we met a few alums and snacked on some food and just talked and relaxed and stuff. Pictures from the morning's scavenger hunt came back and we were all looking at them and they were hilarious! It was really a lot of fun.

So now, I recieved an email that bids will be given out tonight from 7:30-9pm...and they go in a group and go to your room to extend you the bid....however, I have a class from 5:45pm-8:45pm tonight :-(, I've already notified the VP of recruitment and told a few sisters about it, so I have no idea what will happen now, if they come at all, when would they come? I hope I get a bid, I loved the girls and even the pnm's were awesome. I hope I hear soon!

Sweetie, I can't see why they WOULDN'T give you a bid.

You must remember that, while SAI does get to be selective, we don't have quota or total. The chapter can give out as many bids as they wish. If they liked you, I'm 99% positive you will receive a bid.

And I hope that you do! Please keep us all updated.

HEY!

I GOT MY BID TONIGHT!!!! I just got back (with a dozen Krispie Kreme donuts from my best friend) from celebrating!!! So excited! It was so ironic what happened! I had my class..but my professor let us out an hour early so I was back in my room at about 7:45 and they came to my room around 8pm and knocked on my room and totally scared me half to death! BUT there were like 10 of the sisters and they were all surrounding my door and I was like jumping up and down and they gave me my bid card and were like we would like to extend you a bid to join SAI and I was like YAYYAYYAY and I hugged everyone and it was awesome! Pinning is Sunday, I can't wait!! YEAH SAI!!!!! I'm so glad I am able to share this amazing experience with girls all over the place!!!!! I LOVE MY NEW SISTERS!!! w0000t!
