HUGE bid days
Coming from a tiny commuter campus in the early 1980's...and bid day of 91 Phi's, while it excites me, just boggles my mind!!!!!
We were thrilled to have 5 (which was quota! then)

Also I was talking with the national president (Kathy Williams-who is from our chapter) on Bid Day (yesterday) and she says this makes us the largest chapter in the country with the largest pledge class. I think it's something like 255 people but I could be a little off on that number. I thought that was exciting especially since Ole Miss is kinda a small school.

Largest Quota in the Country?
Hello Phi Mu friends! I was just thinking... I bet Ole Miss has the largest new member classes in the country. Off the top of my head, LSU & Texas A&M are sometimes in the 70s, but can we think of anyone else in the 80s?

I don't know of anyone in the 80's either, but then again I don't know much about other schools...Alabama is in the 50's.. I think Tennessee is as well. Kathy Williams said this is the largest pledge class in the country though..91 is a whole lot of new girls...you should've seen the house today at lunch! And all th Bid Day presents everywhere...it's crazy!

WOW! We had 66 set as quota here and we thought that was really high. We got 70 by the time everything was all over and I still don't know all of them even though they're initiated now. I need to work on that!!!

91???? YEOW!!!!! That's so crazy! Ritual must take forever!
But seriously.... I'm always hearing about a lot of legacies at Ole Miss. Out of your 91, how many were legacies?

There were tons of legacies going through...but I think like 15 were legacies(I could be wrong on that number)...usually there are so many going through that we can't give all of them a bid, and some others chose to go something else as well. Many girls are legacies to more than one sorority. And yes ritual takes freaking FOREVER!!!! It's an all day event.
