Interested in Pledging, need help(from the Atl)

Hello everyone!! I am new to these messageboards and I am so glad that I found it! Okay, I am from Atlanta. I attend Agnes Scott College. We have no AKA Chapter, but my doctor told me that I could pledge at nearby schools. I am interested in Spelman, Ga. State, or Emory. Anyone who can help me, please do, because I would love to be apart of your family!!! Also, can someone fill me in on what I would have to do to pledge. Email me back at RedRoseQueen@mtv.com

Hello and welcome to Greekchat. You seem new, so I will throw a few suggestions your way for future reference :

1) Check the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. national website at http://www.aka1908.com for more information.

2) Try to find or talk to members in your area.

3) While on Greekchat, use the Search feature located at the top of the screen to search through previous topics to see if the topic you want to bring up has already been discussed. I would venture to say that with 20,000+ posts here, most topics have been discussed in some form or fashion.

4) Be discreet.

I attend Georgia State. Can Agnes Scott not have sororities on campus? Have you thought about starting a new chapter instead?

I too would suggest that you check out the National site and talk to someone there, I'm sure they could lead you in the right direction! Good luck!
