Good point about the junior thing... that probably really screwed things up.

 | If the other night is any indication (and seeing as how ADPi didn't take quota), I see that as a major situation with us.

Must... find... info...!

Is it just me, or is it unusual to know the results this far in advance? We were told how many we picked up usually about 2 hours before the women came through the door...and all the other sororities were the same way.
Congrats to all the Pitt ladies for a wonderful recruitment!

dOn't forget that a lot of women could have just not signed their card after preference.....
AND because release figures weren't changed after 11 rounds I'm sure some women were invited back to places where they might not have had a chance of getting a bid.

And then you have cross cuts.

I'm guessing that we got the lists much earlier in advance this year due to the computer matching. In previous years when they did the hand-bid matching, all the advisors would have to be there, it was usually during the day (correct me if i'm wrong, fire1977) and took a lot longer. I'd imagine that they got it done pretty quickly. It's actually nice to get the bid lists a bit earlier, makes things slightly more organized i'd imagine.
And yeah, i'm guessing there's definately going to be some issues with quota.
But maybe most of the other houses got close to quota? I have no clue.

Anybody going to bid night tonight?

			I'll be there.
Bid matching never took long at all, it was snaps and COB that took longer......

I'll be at bid day. My chapter doesn't know yet, I like to tell them all together but because some sneaky people found out, well....

I'm sure they'll all know when I get there.

 | I'm betting cross cuts were a big thing.... several of the houses that usually make quota didn't (KKG, Tri D, Tri Sigma), and a lot of them usually go after the same girls. As do us, DZ, and XO (which surprises me that these 3 made quota b/c they usually pref a lot of the same girls)

You know i almost always agree with you on all of this stuff
Hopefully there will be a lot of snap bids and COBs.

kddani's post of who usually rushed against whom has me thinking. When I was in school, the Tri Delts & ChiOs rushed the same women; Kappas & Thetas rushed the same women; ADPi & TriSigma rushed the same women, SDT, AEPhi & DPhiE rushed the same women, and the DZ's rushed against everyone!! You would have the few strays that preffed say, ADPi & Theta, but those were the exceptions, instead of the rule. My, how things change!

Since this has become the unofficial Pitt Rush thread:

Congrats to KD, Chi O, and DZ.
I was talking to my friend who is in Kappa and from what I understand a lot of the larger houses were all rushing from the same pool of girls. What usually happens is that two chapters will rush the same pool but this year they all were rushign the same girls.

On the other side I have heard that some of the middle/smaller size houses have done VERY well. Congrats to them they worked hard.

 | At my university, usually the women who attended our preference party were also attending either Tri-Delta or KD's pref party. It really is interesting to see how some of the chapters do rush the same women!
