Here are two ideas...the last one (My Anchor) would probably work better if she was giving a poem to you...but oh well! I like it!
 Untitled

There are those who pass like ships in the night
Who meet for a moment, then sail out of sight
With never a backwards glance of regreat
Those we know briefly and then forget.
Then there are those that sail together
Through quiet waters and stormy weather
Helping each other through joy and through strife
And those are the kind who give meaning to life.

 My Anchor

I recall my life as full of rain
Patterns filled with clouds and hurricanes
 Then you came along, and
 Somehow made me
 strong enough to stand

Running from the tears upon my face
 From feelings I turned
 inwards and misplaced
Then you came along, somehow made me strong -
 You took my hand

 You are my anchor -
 when I begin to drift
My anchor - when tides begin to shift
My anchor - and when the clouds begin to lift -
 You're always there

I was like a ship without a port
Always setting sail but falling short
 Fighting with the wind
Then you pulled me in and took me home

 You are my anchor -
 when I begin to drift
My anchor - when tides begin to shift
My anchor - and when the clouds begin to lift -
 You're always there

You are like the sun upon a wave
You are like the light within a cave
Everywhere I turnI see your smile and yearn to be

 You are my anchor -
when I begin to drift - My anchor when tides begin to shift
My anchor - and when the clouds begin to lift -
 You're always there
