eeeeewwwww my couch!

I bought some furniture (used) and it smells bad. I'm talking it has some major STANK goin on. Anyone have any tips for making it smell not so rank?? I've tried Febreze. I've tried removing the cushion covers and washing them. No luck. It's driving me nuts and I feel like an old lady w/ all these blankets on my furniture.

too bad you cant soak them in a bucket of febreze.
isnt there a foam that is made for cushions, carpets, etc. that has a built in brush that could work....
all cant be lost. there has to be something!!!

If the smell is coming from the outside fabric of the cushions, get a slip-cover or refurbish the cloth. If the smell is coming from inside the cushion, re-stuff them with padding or pillow stuff.

Yucky, stinky couches aren't cool. Good luck!

re: couch

I'm seconding bethany...have it cleaned. We had a house fire and the furniture was in the smoky house for at least a week. Before the fire my dad had smoked inside for YEARS. The insurance company had it cleaned and it got so much out that we could actually use it again in our now smoke-free house!
