Puppies and new jobs

HELP HELP HELP

So a friend told me that her brother had found two puppies wondering in the woods when they were about 2 weeks old. And now they needed to find someone to take one or both... so I offer to take one home for the weekend to try it out... now I have a puppy and she is about to drive my bf and me nuts. I do things sooo backwards... most people move in together and then get a dog... I get a dog first instead and a bf who lives 30 minutes away. I would have her here with me but the problem is that the person I am living with doesn't want a dog in the house, so the puppy is staying with the bf and he is about to go nuts....

Dog owners... what can I give a 5 week old puppy to help her teething without teaching her to bite everything that moves and won't kill her if she digests something?

Also... I have been offered my first "after college" job and I am so excited. It is only temp/ft but I am hopeing that it will lead to something more permanent.

Well need to run.

Thanks for reading, I needed to express these happy and trying times.

rawhides - very few things that you own are going to taste like meat. plus - if a part of it breaks off, who cares?

or -

give em one of those "kongs" you can get smaller ones. stick a little peanut butter in it and he'll leave you alone for hours (plus the pb doesn't come out and get all over everything)

I'm going to agree with Marissa, here. Give her rawhides to chew on; pig ears/snouts or hooves also work well (although they can sometimes smell pretty bad). You may want to ask your vet or your pet store for more tips for training her, too.

Good luck with the puppy and the new job!
