2 cent? Please, there is more than one, it's 2 cents.
My other pet peeve? When someone says they 'conversate' or 'were conversating' with someone. You can converse with someone or you can engage in conversation. There is no such word as 'conversate'.

Please learn how to properly conjugate verbs
It annoys me to no end when people fail to properly conjugate the verb "be" (as in "to be"), no matter if it's past, present, or future tense.
Example:
It's not was you, but were you.
It's not was we, but were we.
I used those two examples above b/c I have several co-workers, including one who is currently working towards her MPA (bless their hearts b/c they are such sweethearts), but when they open their mouths and speak, I dayum near cringe.
PSA - "Conversate" and "irregardless" are not words. Please repeat this sentence as often as needed until the concept is firmly placed into your brain.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Pe-teek /Petique (?)
It drives me batty to hear someone says pe-teek instead of petite! The last time I heard it was on that HBO special about hookers and johns. The guilty party, having just come home from jail, was talking about his dream "girl."

Why does my husband insist on saying "wan" (rhymes with can) instead of won? I try to tell him that he sounds ign't but he doesn't want to hear it.

Thank you, FeeFee. The worst part about conversate and irregardless is that the people who say these words actually think using them makes them sound more intelligent.
