Strobelighthoney, i am literally in here crying! That was funny, and the baby jesus thing was funny too. I'm learning some things, because I thought Usher was saying he was "muchly too young of a guy" I was like that doesn't make sense. Y'all are too much! I visited some friends in Florida and Kaia is big there (my neck, my back) My best friend was like what the heck is a unit? Also, her song Kane Wane. I was like, what the heck is a Kane Wane?!

Ok, where was I when this thread was first started??? I must be the princess of wrong words, because I always start singing out loud, and then I notice everyone else has stopped singing to look at me, because I was way off. My friends just start giggling. They ask me what the words are just to laugh at me.

Anyhoo, I want everyone to listen to Sisqo's song incomplete, and then let me know why he named a song incomplete if he can't say it??? It comes out INCOMFWEE. Listen....

I used to think that Erica Badu's song "Love of my life"
said

uh,huh oooo uh huh yeah

it actually says way back ooo way back yeah (I found out a Common concert I was too shame lol)

As a matter of fact, I don't understand the words to alot of her songs....

Mary J. Blidge is another one--- remember...

"I was your lover and your secUHtary....."lol

Indie Arie's song "Not the Average Girl" I use to mess up religiously. I thought the song said

I'm not the average girl from the video and I aint built like a superbowl but I learn to love myself unconditionally because I am a queen.

and
The "Little things" song...
I thought she said
pour me some sweet tea give me my money and I don't need no bag of wood....

Ok y' all almost got me fired i was laughing so darn loud my boss came down to my office to see whats so funny...of course i had my work window up when i heard her approaching...she could'nt figure out what was so darn funny about FHA Multifamily Loan Limit Adjustment Act. But it's not like i have a door ...i had a door but they came up with a more open environment policy...you know...like a open door policy...didnt know they were gonna really take all the damm doors off.

Anyway i must admit to jacking up a few songs my self. There was a reggage song out a while back called"Heads High" dont remember who sings it anyway since i am Jamaican my Non Jamican friends wanted me to translate.

Thing is i thought he was saying "Head SIDE kill them with the now. Jus let a boy know we naw bow." Well folks he was saying heas HIGH kill them with the now....

When they asked what he meant by Head SIDE i couldnt really explain cause it didnt make any sense...anyway i couldnt look like i didnt know my own dilect... so i made something up.

Couple months later my boyfriend heard me singing it wrong and was rofl. Then he told me the right words...i was like ohhhhhh yea now the whole song made alot more sense.

Baby Boy

After watching Beyonce's diary I FINALLY realize what she says at the end of Baby Boy.

I thought she said: "B's stepping out after this year, I know you're going to like it". And stepping out as in stepping away from DC.

HOWEVER, she really says: "B's gonna get hotter this year, I know you're going to like it".

I thought she was saying "B steppin up outta this year" like she's stepping out this year, but kinda reggae-flavored.

Now, I am the QUEEN of purposely messing up lyrics and replacing them with ones I like better, one of my favorites is Michael Jackson's "Beat It"

"Beat it, just beat it.... ain't your momma orthopedic?"
HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.......i'm laughing at this post b/c when i was little, i had no idea what they were saying on "gotta be starting something"...., which was my favorite michael jackson song

instead of saying "mama-say-mama-sa-ma-ma-cu-sa..." (WTF does this mean), my brother told me they were saying,
"i'ma save my mama some ba-ba-que sauce", and i said this for YEARS....

CTFU at my self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ok, this forum is REALLY hysterical!!! "It shur fippy rat"?!?!?! LOLOLOL I really started crackin up!!!!!!!!! But what IS she saying does anybody know? It just sounds like something distorted or bleeped out cause they can't play it on the radio. And baby Jesus and Romeo your girl is too porno?!? I was really laughing.

So here are my contributions:
Remember that TLC song--"Hat to da back, ____________, that's that kind of girl I am, that's the kind of girl I am" Well, when that song came out, I was steadily singing "Hat to da back, and no you can't buy me looooooooove, that's the kind of girl I am." I was singing ALL LOUD on the school bus, and then my friend started CRACKING UP and told me that they say "Hat to da back, i wear my pants down belowwwwwww" I was thoroughly embarassed.

Another example is Lumidee's one hit wonder (can't remember the name of the song). I was on the metro with two of my friends, and I started singing that song, but couldn't remember any of the words, so I sang this instead:
Honestlyyyyyyyy
Minimeeeeee
Tiniteeeeeee
Shinisheeeeeeeee
I never thought you'd be the one
Till I got pregnant with your son

LOL it cracks me up now thinking about it (and p.s. I don't have ANY kids, I was just making up words!!). What was really funny was when my friends started singing along with my lyrics. lol

Sean Paul is another one that I butcher (I don't have the CD so I never saw the lyrics). When "like glue" came out, I thought that other guy who comes on in the song was saying "Pon the rippa, Pon the bon" and I asked my Jamaican friend what in the world that means, and he then informed me that its " 'pon the river, 'pon the bank". I guess I was close lol.

I'm also the QUEEN of "somethin somethin some somethin" when I don't know the words to a song
