I always thought it would be funny to name the University of Central Florida the University of Florida at Orlando so you could get a sweatshirt that said "UFO."

Then again, I am easily amused.

Lawrence University: Larry U.

UW-Stout: No nickname, but the motto: "When in doubt, go to Stout." You know, that's where the Midwest mailbox bomber went to school.

I started at FAU and EVERYBODY there transferred!! It has the highest transfer rate in the country. Not something to be proud of, but FAU = Find Another University
