kinda worried...
You know that feeling you get when you 'get up too fast' and you get that weird feeling in your head?
I've been getting that a lot this week.. and just awhile ago, it happened again, but this time I was really disoriented, and the room got dark for a little while...like 5 seconds or so. I had to reach out for the wall...
I'm really worried... what could this be? I'm planning on seeing the doc ASAP.. but I don't know my work schedule yet or anything, plus I haven't seen a doctor since I moved here a year ago.. so I'll have to find one.
Anyone have any ideas?

If you are getting dizzy, it could be an inner ear infection. I had that and could not turn over in bed without my head swimming.

Definitely sounds like an inner ear infection. They suck. Since it's a virus, there isn't anything the doctor can give you to get rid of it, but you can get a prescription to help the dizziness.

Another avenue to check is your electrolytes. My mama & I both tend to get imbalanced if our sodium dips - especially in the summer. Sometimes it's remedied with something as simple as Gatorade - but my fiance gets a kick out of my having an "anti-dizziness" medication on hand in case the G-ade doesn't work! "She's so dizzy, she has to take pills for it!"
I'm glad that you're seeing a doctor, texas*princess. If it's not an immediate diagnosis of an inner ear infection, demand a complete chem panel!

Wow, I do that a lot. I know the feeling; it's really scary. I've been so bad I've literally had to clutch the doorframe to stay upright.
I'm going to try the Gatorade suggestion. It also helps if you take time getting up to adjust, rather than just leaping up like I've always tried to do.

You could be anemic. Needing more iron in your system. Not a big deal. Can be fixed with iron suppliments. Def. get it checked out, but most likely its anemia.

Go to the doctor. I get that feeling when I don't eat frequently enough. I have fainted a few times from low blood sugar levels. Feel better texas*princess.

I'm feeling WAY better this morning!!!
I'm still going to the doc to get it checked out.. all evening after my whole dizzy spell, my head kinda hurt..don't know if it was a headache or not.. because i rarely get those, and forgot what they feel like! hehehe
But I feel way better after getting a good night's rest.
I'm probably going to the doc mid-week. Are there any tests I should ask to be done just in case so we know for sure what it might be?

There are a number of possible exlanations for your problem T*P, but the ear infection and anemia sound like the best ones. I'm anemic and I get dizzy spells if I don't keep up on my iron pills. Another, more severe, and less likely probability is vertigo, but my bf had that and you don't have all the same symptoms. Good luck at the doctor!

That tends to happen when one has low blood pressure. I have low blood pressure (I mean not what I would call ER low blood pressure) but that can at times make one dizzy. Other than that I would think low blood sugar levels or dehydration. I hope you get it figgured out and feel better soon!

I'm with those who say it's due to low blood pressure. In high school I had really, really low blood pressure and that would happen to me all the time. My doctor told me to drink Gatorade or Powerade everyday to up my electrolite count, and that worked . . . although I definitely got sick of the taste of Gatorade.

I agree w/ this one - ask the doctor to test your iron. I was anemic on and off since I was 13 through my 20's. I would get up and feel dizzy like I had to sit down or fall down. Yours sounds like what I experienced.
