The Hulk

Is it just Mr. AXO Alum and me, or does this look like the dumbest movie ever released?? We were watching the trailer for it this weekend, and it just looks REE-diklus (ridiculous for the non-southern speaking). I mean, I do not remember Lou Farigno (sp?) being able to jump the Grand Canyon, swing a tank around his head, or any of the other stupid scenes they showed in the trailer. And the computer animation is stupid - it doesn't even pretend to look "real" -- anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone else thinks this way and who is planning to see it.

I, for one, won't be lined up waiting for advance tickets. I don't even want to watch it years down the road when TBS airs it

When I was grocery shopping the other day, I saw "The Hulk Cereal" - it was corn flakes or something, with a picture of the Hulk on the box. It was labeled "Limited Edition"

I think I'm too young for the original Hulk, but without seeing any trailers for it, I really don't care to see the movie at all....nor have I seen Spiderman or Daredevil (but I'll probably someday see those)

I definately agree the movie looks REE-diklus!!

I watch movies at the theater a lot, and am really tired of seeing the trailer.. I'm tired of seeing the Mt. Dew commercials and everything with 'The Hulk'..

I just don't think the movie is very appealing and not worth my $7 to go watch it.

AXO Alum - I asked my BF, who did read the original Hulk comics, and apparently he could do those things - tanks, canyon leaping etc. HOWEVER, he agrees with me that it just looks completely stupid to have big cartoon Hulk running around in the middle of 'reality'. At least in Spiderman it looked pretty darn real!

My husband and I had tis same conversation-- this Hulk looks stupid!!! The original Hulk was great!! On the tv show they made him look real, why couldn't they have done that instead of making a cartoon amongst realistic background???

I like the Hulk, but I am not sure we will be seeing this one.

They should have done this LIKE the show -- used a medium-size guy for the "human", and used Arnold or The Rock for the Hulk.

I swear, watching the trailer I feel like I'm seeing Donkey Kong running around with the green bar through the middle of the TV like that used to happen when my friends and I would play the Atari too much - LOL (AXO Alum showing her age!)

Hootie - tell BF that that's just stoopid (teehee *wink*wink*) - thanks for clarifying

No.. this movie was great fun. At least rent it. (BTW- I adore kung fu films & am a Chow Yun Fat fan also).

Regarding the Hulk:
Looks stoopid. But directed by Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). Might have to see it.
