This spring we did a "Club" Sigma Kappa one night, a Sigma Kappa Cocktail, and a Mexican Fiesta one

The one we seem to keep consistantly is Pizza and FRIENDS night ... eat pizza ... watch friends ... im sure you VERY smart ladies can figure out the concept but we never really end up watching FRIENDS ... but ya know ... its all in the spirit of COB fun!

what we do which worked out well for is good pr. also we had sigma kappuchino(i know i know its kkg's thing, but there not here)where we had coffee and donuts and just talked. also we had a barbq at a sisters house in a more laid back atmosphere. in the end it got us 14 beautiful girls. i think its all in how you talked to them and how the girls feel comfortable in your sisterhood.

We have allready planed our fall rush
We are using a Dr Suess theme of the Places You'll Go. We plan on having a few alumni tell of their experices in Sigma Alpha and how it helped them make contacts and develope a career. So by way of boat (the newest study abraod for CANR is a 5 week cruise in the mediterian) we are going to do floats and maybe even Sundaes since we have ice cream Yummy!

We've done Friend's night, Ice cream social (Floats), Movie nights, Potting violets (during formal rush, for philanthropy day we paint pots. We plant the violets in them and give them to nursning homes), We've also done Valentines Day cards (for the retirement home and the troops), Even just a Coffee date at Starbucks with a couple Actives and PNMs can be good, and at the veary least, free coffee and a brak from studying for everyone!

We've had 2 events for COB that've worked really well.
1) Pool hall and dinner. I couldn't go, but it was really chill, and people were able chat as well as have fun.
2) Bowling. I rolled my eyes when I heard this one, but we got a GREAT New Member class when we did this. Again, it's really relaxed and you can just be yourself while getting to know the PNMs.

Hey girls! I saw this idea somewhere and tri-Sig may use it... put it fits with us too Try Sigma Idol! 3 judges (all nice... we don't want any Simons) and have sisters act as famous musicians (if they can sing great) but just talking about our sisterhood, socials, philanthorpy...etc! Good luck with Rush in the fall
