If this has been done already, I apologize. (I did a search on the word "gratitude" as topic and came up empty.) I no longer watch the Oprah show but do subscribe to the magazine. With Thanksgiving coming up, gratitude is a feature.

I thought it would be nice to start this thread and let it serve as "pick me up" when anyone starts the pity party

. Its also a nice acknowledgement of the blessing we do receive.

I am grateful and thankful that I woke up this morning in "sound" mind, with good health and had a job to go to.

Some of this may pre date you all... But have you ever heard of the comic strip entitled "B.C." about the cavemen and all?? Well the strip has this character that only has one leg and he wrote what he was thankful for and I use it to remind myself often. Now, I'll share it with you:

Things I'm Thankful For:

I'm thankful for that I have one leg,
to limp is no disgrace.

Even though I may not win,
I can still run the race.

It's not the things you cannot do that make you what you are...

It's doing good with what you got, that lights the morning star!

Today I thank GOD for my son! I have been a mom for 7 months now and it is one of the single most gratifying feelings in the world. I am truly blessed!

I thank you for being able to wake this morning and see the day Lord for I know that it is YOU oh Lord Jesus that enables me to get up and move my arms and legs for I know that there are some in the world that cannot...

Oh Jesus,

I thank you for calvary, I thank you for the blood, I thank you for salvation, I thank you for allowing me to follow your perfect will, I thank you for you are Omninicent, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent for you are a GOD that sees all and knows all and is all powerful!!!

I thank you Lord for using this vessel to promote, praise, and worship your precious name, for it is a HOLY name indeed!

All of these things and more I am greatful to you Lord for in your precious son's name JESUS CHRIST...

I would have to say that I am grateful for having God in my life. There was a period of time when I was very upset with Him and had no faith in Him, because he took two precious gifts away from me. But I have come to the conclusion that he took them to use as his helpers in watching over me and leading me in the right direction. I've realized that everything that I have is because of him. Now, I ask of him all the time and he gives me what he thinks that I need. At times, I not alright with that, but I know that He knows what good for me right now. So I'm grateful that he's by my side, watching over me, and that I love him and he loves me back.

Today I am thankful for the traveling mercies extended to me and my family. It snowed here last night and was a bit slippery this morning. GOD has blessed us all by letting us arrive safely at our destinations.

As 2001 comes to a close, I would like to thank GOD for the blessings that he has given me this year.

I am especially grateful for family. Earlier this evening our family gathered to celebrate my gradfather's 80th birthday. God is good...ALL THE TIME....

I'm thankful for a lot...for I've been through a lot and the Lord has always brought me through..

I'm thankful for...

......my wonderful parents
......my loving sister
......my too cute niece and nephew
......my patient boyfriend
......the air that I breathe daily
......the wonderful sisterhood I have been blessed to be apart of..
......MY JOB (I may not love it, but I do have one)
......my wonderful friends
......my enemies (they help me to become a stronger and wiser person)
.......a merciful, loving, forgiving and awesome GOD!

May we all continue to be Blessed in 2002
