What's the fashion trends at your school/town?

I'm going to do some summer shopping this weekend and I am looking for some ideas other than the bohemian/Juicy Couture/Seven/etc that everyone has overdone including myself. So I want to hear about the trends all over the country. Shoes/accessories/clothes...anything!! Thanks.

I'm seeing a lot of contrasting black and white, especially in skirts. I think that is pretty cute.

Cigar box purses are pretty hot and I'm going to pick one up myself to be ahead of the trend.

Shoes can vary a lot but I've seen a lot of ballet flats with skirts as well as heels with ankle straps (very sexy!). I picked up a few at payless the other day and people keep complimenting me on them. I guess they think I spent a bundle. Hee hee. Our secret.

Also a big Asian influence in clothing like silk tops and purses.

Bloomingdale's window has 1960's fashions inspired by the movie "Down with Love" starring Renee Z. The dresses are cute, but I'm not buying any.

Renee Z's style is ripping off "Jacqui," as the French called Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

Yeah, those dresses are very Jackie, Doris Day, and Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." The dresses look like they are Givenchy and Oscar De La Renta inspired.

Every now and then I have Audrey/Jackie O days and I honestly dress in that style. Lots of black and white. Tailored. Sunglasses. No cigs tho. Don't want to die. I see a lot of stuff around here, but dahlin, I don't want u following it. I don't dig the Bebe look. Juicy couture is kinda cute, but not every day. I'm a Gap girl myself. Sorry to be so boring

Audrey and Jackie O. are wonderful and timeless. If I have to reference a past era, much better than some stuff in the 70s and 80s.
