Talking Enjoying my NEW YORK spirit and the BU-T-I-FUL DAY!!

My brother graduated from the police academy today. You know graduations are best when your peeps have an active role in the ceremony well aside from awards my brother sang the National Anthem. Oh my goooodness it was just the BEST. I was so happy and so proud of him. I cried for JOY!! I am sure that those of you who live in NY can catch a glimpse of the ceremony on NY1 or some of our other news stations.
Well, that is it I just wanted to share with you all. And guess what the weather is nice and warm, I had a great day!!

And lastly, game three in the world series is tonight - oh my NY is just the greatest (well for now) ;-)

Sister,

I'm saying a prayer for your brother. It takes a special person to be on the front line.

Congrats and best wishes to not only your brother but to my sister likewise!

Thank you all!! The first prayer I said when I got to the Garden on Tuesday was for all the men and women graduating, gosh they have got spirit, same for our people in the Army/Military etc... My prayers are with all these special groups that keep us safe in our daily lives!! What would be do without them

Diva_56, gurl I am a METS fan, actually I just picked the side of the underdog, Mets in 7!!

I am sorry if I insult my fellow NYers. I cannot stand it! I live five minutes from Yankee stadium and the traffic is messed up whenever they play. To make matters worse, I have to take the 4 to work and the trains are always packed when I ride home at night.I wish I could share everyones enthusiam, but I can't feel it. Well I hope everyone enjoys the series....while it last.

Don't worry Bellydancer I totally understand!! I drive to and from Connecticut everyday via I95 and throgs neck bridge so no matter where they play I hit traffic. This is supposed to be a SUBWAY SERIES but it seems like everyone and their Momma are driving ... but that is okay - the city makes up for it with all the wonder other things we got going on over here. Especially when Christmas time comes around, Christmas in the city is awesome, so many shows to see and things to do.

Congratulations to your brother! I know you were bursting with pride when he sang (did you wear a sign saying "That's MY Brother!" ?)! He is in my prayers also.

We totally understand where your comming from bellydancer, I take the 4 to school and I am totally swamped with Yankee fans as soon as I come home at night... But don't worry I suspect you won't have that problem for the rest of the year... Hey ladyAKA girl I will pray for your brother and hope he uses the widsom and understanding that only God can give when out there on those dangerous streets of NY.
