				 Tisha Campbell

This is a question for anyone who knows, is Tisha Campbell a member of AKA. It is listed here at a AKA website, but I remember a member of AKA saying that she was definitely NOT a member... I'm confused already.
The site is http://www.shsu.edu/~org_aka/famousAKA.html

Of course, those in the organization would know better than me, but I recall an episode of Martin when her character Gina mentioned that her sorority colors were pink and green. This could be a shout out to the organization form the writer or creator of the show (I think she is an AKA.)Who knows?

To my knowledge, Tisha Campbell is not a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. In fact, I remember reading in Spike Lee's companion book to his movie, School Daze, that Tisha's first introduction to black sororities was during her preparation for the movie, and within this book, she inferred that she was not impressed with AKA (got into the whole skin color/hair texture stereotype).
Additionally, I'm not aware that Ms. Campbell is a college-educated woman, which is a requirement for regular membership, and I'm not aware of her induction as an honorary member. Sorors, anyone know any different?

I saw that same episode a while back. Afterwards, I just assumed she was an AKA. If you watch the re-runs of the show, you'll start to notice this constant pink and green thing going on with her character...in her old apartment, furniture, her clothing. Of course, unless you're actually looking for it, you wouldn't notice it. (Like Cedric the Entertainer said "It's just something that always concerned me") I was completely surprised to read these posts, I always thought she was a member.

Soror PositivelyAKA, I agree with you that we shouldn't believe everything we hear. However, I did check the link that Diva_56 provided for us and obviously the sorors in that chapter seem to think Tisha is a soror. Her picture is displayed among our real famous sorors. I was going to leave them a message, but I first wanted to know whether or not it was true.

When I first read this yesterday, I immediately thought back to that episode.
Okay....
THAT WAS JUST A CHARACTER (GINA) WAS SAYING THAT THE COLORS (PINK AND GREEN) REPRESENTED HER (GINA'S) SORORITY. THAT DID NOT MEAN THAT TISHA (THE ACTRESS/PERSON) WAS/IS A MEMBER OUR ORGANIZATION.

IT WAS T.V. OKAY! ALL FICTION!!

SO WHOEVER HAS THAT SITE UP, SHOULD MAKE SURE WHAT THEY PRINT IS CORRECT.

That's just like on a Different World...when Ron pledged Kappa Lamda Nu and their colors were Purple and Gold, does that mean he is an Omega...NO. Actually, in REAL LIFE he is an Alpha!
Same thing for Kimberly and Whitley. They both joined organizations with the colors pink and green...does that mean they are AKA's NO!

AKA2D, would you believe it is an undergrad chapter that is displaying this information? Of all people, you would think they would do their RESEARCH to make sure the information is correct!

I left them a private message in the guestbook.
However, it seems as though one of our frequent silent readers to our forum may have left them one as well.

From my understanding Tisha Campbell is not an AKA. I have also seen the Martin episode, but at the time there was a writer for the show who is an AKA who I believe was Yvette Lee Bowser who wrote for Living Single.
