okay now for all those that plan on going greek (like myself) and especially at this school...i love ole miss...this could be very bad...just read some of the feed back...the article itself is fine but the feedback is just...well...you look...

The more prominent and powerful the Greek system is - which at Ole Miss, is very and very - the more vitriolic the anti-Greeks are likely to be. What they don't realize is that kind of criticism just makes them look foolish and bitter.

Good grief, if you hate Greeks that much, don't go to school where the system is a big deal.

Derby Days here was cancelled the first night after Sigma Chi was caught with alcohol violations.

Further punishment pending.

...I'm just curious...but Sig Chi does it here to and they do a raw egg drop. (They drop raw eggs into a team members open mouth from the second story of a building, bonus points for puke...) What kind of events does this thing usually do...I don't go to a 'normal' school.

Our Derby Days were cancelled this year!

The guys said they were restructuring, and they moved out of their house and all too. So, that probably didn't help either. I missed it though, would have been fun!

4Runnerstar, I got your PM I'm going to reply with information about Ole Miss soon. I've been really busy lately.

Most of the articles in the newspaper that pertain to Greeks at Ole Miss get negative feedback. Don't let it bring you down about rushing. That's what those people want.

they've changed some of the stuff-but for our derby days

there was a hunt for the golden derby - we had clues each morning as to where it was

fun and games-dizzy bat, derby chase, tug of war, eat and chug (soda not beer) egg toss and a spirit section, we also got points for having people wear their derby days shirts

lol, we could attend their parties (before the NPC resolution, obviously) for extra points - not like they needed more people there.

canning money

they had a band play one year and we went to see it - got points for attendence at that too.

and brother auction attendence- formerly sig n' dales which I think is kind of self explanatory.
