Scary legislation inOklahoma

Whether or not your for the war, this legislation is scary. Scary to the point that the ACLU, the Police Union and various minority groups are all againsts it. Hopefully it won't get passed, if it did, i bet it would be cut down by the court.

Story about the legislation

Post It's Oregon!

I hope they'd never consider something like that in my state (although you had me going).

I think our right to peacefully protest things is HIGHLY sacred. No worries though that thing would be struck down in record time by the Supreme Court. Political speach is one of the most protected types of speech historically.

This is ridiculous. Twenty-five years for blocking traffic? Give me a break. It'll never pass.

Though I wouldn't put it past the Oklahoma state assembly to enact such a law...

I still don't understand this legislation. If they are blocking the street, they are violating a law already. Why do they need this? Probably a knee jerk reaction along the line with "Freedom Fries" and exporting the bodies from french. the guy definately got to go.

What Oklahoma assembly? Haven't they all been indicted for campaign finance violations?

Question

It is not just one state, they are all in the same boat!

People, these are our "dully" elected Moronic Bastards who make our decisions for us!

Dont you know, that being an Elected Polotician is now a Proffession with pretty good money!

Their agenda is not ours but theirs! I scratch yours, but you scratch mine!

I will never forget the Afro-American who was elected to the US Congress to try to straighten things out! Hell the good ole boys "set this boy" straight very soon!

Dont play the game, your black ass is out of here! Well, Bless him, he got out of the pit of vipers in DC!

Hopefully he is living well and with a clear conscious!

Angry

Arya, thanks for the link. I was looking for this.
I heard it on Sean Hannity's talk show and it about blew my mind!
To make ONE responsible for ALL! LUDICROUS!!!
To strike fear of arrest as a means of control is Gestapo tactics!!!

I understand the problem...I understand the danger and expense.
There must be some other means to minimize the negatives they use as reasons. This is just flat out WRONG not o mention DANGEROUS for us as citizens!!!

I know what you mean. I may be against this war, but I think many of the protestor tactics are not doing this movement any good. but you always have fringes in an movement. Just like this congressman who is obviously, hopefully, in the fringes of Oregon legislature. If they blcok the street, arrest them. There are legislation already against disturbing the peace. This legislation could easily turned against other movement. Which is why I hope this guy will be out of his chairmanship. No new law is needed, there are already gazillion laws, just enforced them.
