JOE: "Lucas...?"
LUCAS: "Joe...?"
J: "Where's the money?"
L: "Joe, the money is gone..."
J: "Yeah, I know it's gone. Where's it gone to?"
L: "Atlantic City."
J: "Atlantic City?"
L: "Yeah."
J: "Is it coming back from Atlantic City?"
L: "I... I don't think so, Joe."
J: "What's it doing in Atlantic City?"
L: "Recirculating...."

My favorite movie ever... and favorite lines:
Lucas: "Who knows where thoughts come from- They just appear."
Deborah: "... and I talked to God, and she says 'yo, what's up...'"
Gina: "Well shock me, shock me, shock me with that deviant behavior!"
I'm going to go rent it today...

I love the ending scene... That's gotta be my favorite Gin Blossoms song ever.

I love it . . .
Funny how it was not critically acclaimed AT ALL but almost everybody I know my age seems to list it among their favorite movies.
My best friend and I still quote it all the time, even though we haven't seen it in a while. (We don't need to! We know the whole thing by heart.)

definately one of my alltime favorite movies... this post inspired me to watch it today i would probably liken it to our generation's 'fast times at ridgemont high' (another of my favorite movies)...after watching it, i want to quit my job and work at a record store

I actually started working at Tower Records one month after I saw that movie. Not that I wanted to work at a record store because of that movie...I mean, I knew that Sexy Rexy wasn't going to be there...but damn..."DAMN THE MAN...SAVE THE EMPIRE!" was in my head for months and months because of Empire Records.

My friend Diane and I rented it tonight because our mutual best friend and I both LOVE the movie, and always talk about it, so she finally rented it. We watched it once, then went back to the shoplifting scene, and watched it through to the end again... She's an addict now...

I also just recently saw this movie on TV. I remember thinking that AJ (Johnny Whitworth) was so cute; I mean I still think he's cute though I haven't seen him in anything recently. Ahhh, such a classic fun movie.

YAE! More people that love Empire Records!
Me, and 2 other friends of mine from high school watched it every weekend for months, and quoted lines from it at every chance we got... haha
"the fat man walks alone"
"What's with today today?"
"Have I fired anyone today? ..no, why would I start with you?"
I know that AJ was the token hottie, but damn, I loved Marc (Ethan Embry) more in that movie than anyone else!

This post also inspired me to watch this movie tonight. It's great. I love this movie!
There are some great lines in this movie...many of which have been quoted already.
I think "Warren" is one of my favourites, even though he's not really a major player.
